4 күн бұрын

Russillo starts the pod by discussing the 76ers' signing of Paul George (0:34). Then, The Athletic’s Anthony Slater comes on to preview where Klay Thompson will end up, share how Klay’s relationship with the Warriors broke down, and break down other noteworthy moves (12:00). Finally, Life Advice with Ceruti (46:57)! How do I stop my boss from constantly telling me they’re using the bathroom?
(NOTE: The interview with Anthony Slater was recorded before reports came out of Klay Thompson signing with the Dallas Mavericks on Monday afternoon)

I had a coworker who sat next to me who would ask me where I was every time I came back to my desk. I tried being diplomatic for about a week, then I just started telling her the truth. The next day, my boss calls me in and asks if I told her that I'd taken a dump. I said, "She asked. In fact, she asks all the time. If she doesn't want to know, tell her not to ask." Never seen my boss laugh so hard.

On the flip side of the PG signing, the Clippers look dumb for not taking a young asset back in the Warriors deal which, you aren’t winning anything with the returns, but at least you can flip a Kuminga for some picks considering the Clippers don’t control their destiny in regards to the draft, till 2030. Looking at the franchise health of the pacific division teams, it’s wild to say, the Kings seem like the best equipped to not be terrible given Sabonis and Fox aren’t retiring any time soon & Murray’s development is still occurring.

@@aaronpeters6209 these deals can be pretty tricky. I'm sure if there was some verbal agreement where it's like " pg we are willing to trade you to the warriors for a trade package and they are willing to give you that 4 year max" then PG would have opted in for that deal to happen. I think the deal fell through ( clippers didn't wanna take on bad contracts in CP3 and Wiggins), and wanted to play Hard Ball with PG, and let him test free agency. They probably were thinking "no way is a team going to give him that 4th year and pay him a ton of money at 38 😂" and were hoping PG would come crawling back and accept the 3 year deal instead lol.

Tbf, Porzingis is going to miss probably the first 6 weeks of the season rehabbing. So Boston is vulnerable, and this is the best supporting cast Embiid has had since Jimmy and Simmons were on the roster. Same time, it’s Philly and I fully expect them to continue the tradition of 1st round exit one season, 2nd round exit the next

I wouldn't sell the Knicks short. While they overpaid, (essentially 5 picks wtf) Bridges is a great addition. My main question is whether they try to move Randle for somebody else. But that's one badass defensive team with a big 3. And the Celtics, Sixers. So three teams out East? I'm not a believer on the Bucks and not convinced Pacers or Orlando level up. usual injury caveats all around, of course. now Embiid needs to be healthy.

People who are dumbfounded as to why the clippers didnt go through with the warriors trade are ignorant to the new CBA and second apron rules If the clippers took those contracts they would lose their 2032 pick when next season starts, and would have to stay under the second apron for 3 of the next 4 season to get it back

I like how Anthony Slater's response re:PG trade to GSW was a non-answer and Rusillo didn't push back for clarification. The reason the Clippers said no was because GSW did not want to include Kuminga in the return for PG. They were willing to take the bad Wiggins contract, but you need to send back a young guy and draft compensation to play ball. The GSW spin was very disingenuous and that is how this interview is framed here.

For the dog running story I would recommend just keep jogging don't stop. I think stopping by the side of the path and waiting for the owner and dog to approach you is probably weirding the dog out more than if you just kept doing what you're doing. Act normal and the dog will more likely see you as acting normal and like Ryan said if the dog lunges at you then just running into it probably isn't the worst counter.

the harsh lesson for people who allow misbehaved dogs off leash is when their dog approaches a aggressive larger dog, on leash by a responsible owner. it's not the aggressive dog's fault for thrashing the dog off leash. that is 100% on the owner for not leashing their own pet

As a Boston fan I don’t think he compared Porzingis to Embiid on a skill level. I think the aspect of Embiid having to come out of the paint and guard KPs threes would tire him out quicker which is not ideal for the Sixers. I just woke up from a nap after being at work for 23hrs My brain is a lava lamp, but in its ragged state, I dreamt that the Warriors were starting 2025/26 like this: 1. Steph $59.6M 2. Draymond $25.9 3. Michael Porter jr $38.3 4. KAT $53.1 5. Steven Adams $13 Remember Andre Roberson/Thabo Sefolosha? That's what Draymond is doing here, except, I dunno Draymond is probably not at a stage of his career where he is clamping anyone's #1 guard, but maybe he just needs to steer them to all that size behind him. I know Bogut/Luc Longley and Adams are from completely different countries but... I mean... c'mon... GS with Kerr in charge seems like a good fit to bail out MN and Denver from the KAT and MPj contracts. I thought cheaper Klay for MPj was a good Denver move. I think Kuminga+Wiggins for MPj is a great Denver move. Kuminga with Jokic=🍿🍿🍿🍿?! Second coming of Aaron Gordon while they still have Gordon?! Surely Wiggins is at least as good as Bruce Brown was for them? I forget how I got KAT to GS 🤔 That's $190 for your starting 5😂 I guess I'm counting on Lacob to be like Hell yeah, luxury tax/unwieldy contracts, gimme your futures, MN and Den 😂 Okay i need to get some more sleep

One more thing Did you know MPj averaged more rebounds per game than Aaron Gordon? Is that interesting? Wiggins+Kuminga for MPj+Gordon could save Denver money Looks good if Wiggins gets back to 80% of his 2022 self and Kuminga hits a new level And if Denver hits a brick wall and doesn't want to extend Gordon (player option for 25/26 at $23.8M then free agent, unless i missed some news) Oh my God I put turkey corndogs in the microwave thirty minutes ago and forgot about them I think more NBA GMs should make decisions in a sleep deprived condition. How much fun would that be?!! I think it was Podz for KAT+every bit of MN draft capital 😂 '28, '30 firsts, swaps, i dunno Is that allowed?
