In the best hidden towns in Colorado we go off the tourist path to find some unique and fun towns to visit and with little tourist crowds.
Check out my website to get access to amazing maps with all my favorite and secret places in Colorado here www.ryksvideo.com/colorado-map
Check out some beautiful prints I have captured from Colorado and around the world here
www.ryksvideo.com/shop
Colorado NFT's are here opensea.io/collection/colorad...
Gear I use for backpacking and filming is mostly purchased from craigslist boulder and thrift stores. I shop in these areas for outdoor gear because the people in this area update their gear every year and have good money, so I try to find last years gear for cheap in areas like this.

Wow. The negative comments are astonishing! Face it gang, Colorado is not a secret and it hasn't been for decades. I can't claim to be a native but I lived there for 35 years and raised a family there. Yeah, the tourists may sometimes be a nuisance but they're paying the freight for an awful lot of you. I'm not begrudging the longing for the good old days but I also don't much get your selfishness either. Why should you get to enjoy the beauty and wildness of the state but not others? If it's so bothersome, move to Alaska. Thanks for the video Ryks.

I grew up in Northern California and now live in Texas. I miss the Sierra Nevada's so I started visiting Colorado which is amazing. I have been back there every year for my vacation for the last 5 years and I am always in awe of the beauty every time I go. If you are able to live in some of these area's mentioned you are truly fortunate. I read some of the comments below and well tourism is a double-edged sword for sure,..on the one hand many of these small communities get ALOT of thier revenue from people visiting their beautiful space However, .I get the animosity created out of living in a beautiful area and then suddenly you are either priced out or find yourself overwhelmed with tourists who don't have the same care and respect for your space.

I also recommend Orvis hot springs outside of Ouray, if you’re into Clothing optional places. You can add strawberry Hot Springs outside of steamboat as well. And finally if you’re on the front range Evergreen and Morrison are two very cool little towns just outside of Denver.

Tourists can't possibly be any worse than all your bumass pothead locals.. I've been going to Colorado every summer and winter for 30+ years. Never met a single local who was unwilling to accept my money lol.. If it wasn't for us, your little towns would've been all but abandoned many decades ago, like so many of the ghost towns around Colorado. Tourism is practically the only industry in many of these towns. Keep that in mind, ya self-righteous snobs. We are your source of income. You're welcome.

@@BertaHerndon2015 I'm sure you're correct. Native-born people from large city neighborhoods will continue move to small towns as immigrants take their place. Immigrants normally end up large cities because low-skilled jobs and public assistance are available there.
