A few months ago, my depression finally went away, but before that I had been so depressed and suicidal for almost 4 years. Before that I had suffered depression since young teenage years, but it was closer to a manic-depression. When I was 19 and until just about 3-4 months ago, it was full depression. I lost count of the times I tried to commit suicide, always failing, usually because I got too scared right at the end. I would drink and self-deprecate. Hearing this song now, I really see how sad it is and also how ridiculous it was to feel that way. While it may have been foolish, it was serious, it was real, and it was horrible. I hope to never fall into that again. I'm finally mentally and emotionally stable for the first time I can remember in my life and I want to let anyone reading this know, that if you just keep on keeping on, I'm sure it will get better, or you will feel better. You'll find something, something will change, or even just your mindset will change. Don't give up, because I too thought it would never end. Here I am so lucky that it went away so young at almost 24, and I still have to hope it won't come back and take over me again. Keep on keeping on, don't loose that tiny little ember of hope. If you're still here, you still have even just an ember. No matter how dark it gets, the sun shine on you again. "Keep living until you find a reason to live". I'm sending love your way

This song is beautiful. The world is actually a lovely place, even if people can't be all the time. Suicide is never the answer. It doesn't take anything out of me to say that, no matter who you are, or what you've done, I love you enough to be devastated if you left this world in such a way.

i don’t exactly want to die. i don’t have the feeling of not wanting to exist, either. i just want to sleep forever. i want everything, no, everyone to go silent, and i want to be alone. that would be the best dream for me. i kind of feel empty inside. i want tot open up and vent to someone, but i don’t want to burden them. i’ve been feeling this kind of way for a while, and i’ve started thinking about drowning or suffocating. it just feels so empty inside. i no longer have any friends who i trust enough, and i’m basically isolated. there’s no one to depend on. i’m just tired. i hope all of you ppl online never feel suicidal or anything like this. it’s just a terrible feeling. and if you do feel like it, please try to seek professional help. drink lots of water, take care of the people you love, all that stuff. :) this probably won’t get read or anything, but that’s fine. i just kind of wanted to write my feelings, no matter how crappy my writing is lol.
