FYI I got 1:59:54 out of a five year old 4 AH battery and I got 2:07:09 out of a brand new 4 AH "high performance" battery. I only ran the fan on high. In a house it moves a lot of air around the room and you could feel air currents in the attached rooms.

Love this review, thanks for telling us the battery life. Seems like a great way to give your battery a good workout. I have lots of these batteries amd they sit in the charger most of the time

Someone did a comparison between the 18” and 14” but the five bladed fan of the 14” felt more powerful with the air. It also outlast the 18” but I think it had a bigger battery.

The 14" uses the same battery, I'm going to get it today, my cannon took a crap.

Bought one to cool down the car between passes. EGO has a powerful one but the cost is over triple. I chose the Ryobi and bought extra batteries because I have a lot of Ryobi hand tools. I have EGO products, but they don't have hand tools. Ryobi hand tools work better with the high performance batteries.

Definitely a great deal. Good solid , silent unit. Had no trouble convincing the Missus to let me buy because of upcoming blockouts.😄. Now to get some 6ah batteries or maybe two 4ah's and a free tool.

Lots of companies (including Milwaukee, Ridgid, etc) that make tool batteries also sell 12V and 18V fans, some of them hybrid like this one (AC or battery) or battery only (Milwaukee). The fan diameter goes from 6" and up. The Ridgid ones claim a lifetime warranty upon registration.

Love the review I’ll be honest for 99 bucks I rather buy the fan mister system so you can have the option. I use it for a fan only all the time and for my kid softball team they use it in the dugout for cooling and misting
@AllThingsCool
@AllThingsCool 2 жыл бұрын
yea the mister is nice and flexible as a fan or mister. along with being smaller to take places. the cannon is nice to be able to move around the shop when working on a project to move a little more air and not worry about tripping over an extention cord or needing a plug near by

Mines squeaks terrible after 2 years of seasonal use. I really liked the fan but can't find a replacement motor.

Thank you for this comment. I have purchased two of the Milwaukee M18 fans and both of them now squeel like crazy when in use. I really want to buy this Ryobi fan, but it is currently $161 at Home Depot, I would need to buy two packs of Ryobi 6 amp batteries, and I would still need a charger for it since I’m not in the Ryobi ecosystem. Why would I consider spending this much on a portable fan? The majority of my work involves being in customer attics throughout the hot, humid summers in Houston and those kind of fans help so much not having to be plugged in. This may be a dumb question, but if your fan squeels, would that be covered under a warranty? Both of my Milwaukee fans are out of the 5 year warranty coverage

@AllThingsCool

i have it plugged into an ecoflow portable powerstation on high its at 50 watts output on medium 20 watts and on low its not even showing a draw so maybe under 1 watt is my guess

No because you have to buy the batteries and what type of person is in the ryobi line?

I used Makita at my job daily from 1989 t0 1991. Then I got Black and Decker Professional, which is the same as DeWalt and used those tool daily from 1994 to 2012. Then I use Milwaukee from 2013 until now at work. I won a Ryobi drill kit in 2014. Bought a Hybrid lawn trimmer to share the battery. Then I bought a Ryobi reciprocating saw to fix a fence. Next I bought a Ryobi14 gauge brad mailer because I was doing Christmas displays that take over a month to build. I bought two Ryobi 4AH batteries in a pack and watched all the tools perform better. I left the 4AH batteries alone for a year and they still worked without charging. Then I bought a Ryobi combo drill and impact driver for the cost of only one. Then I bought a Ryobi palm sander with dust bag. The n I bought a Ryobi impact gun to change the tires on my car. I bought the fan to cool my liquid to air heat exchangers in my car when I park it after a quarter mile pass at the track. I just bought two more 4AH batteries. I do woodwork, welding, renovate the house, work on the car. I have a work vehicle with Milwaukee tools that my company pays for. I have no problem with either brand and can confidently say I think I use cordless tools way more than the average person. I am almost ready to get rid of my 60 gallon air compressor because I just don't need it any more with all the cordless tools I have. You can also get battery adapters from any brand to any other brand.

Another reviewer only got 2.5 hours from a 6AH battery on high. Interesting inconsistency.

@AllThingsCool Daily use, but still it's a fan, should last for years. Guess I'm getting the new 14" I'm not going 40v batteries, I don't want to just buy them for a bigger fan diameter.
