Thanks for the video, I have just recently purchased the Amazon Foam canon, and was considering purchasing the Ryobi Canon as well since I just bought the Ryobi Power Washer, might still go with both options and add a 1.1mm orifice to get even more foam from the 2 cannons

the MATCC foam cannon has a 1.25mm orifice which requires a pressure washer with 1.8GPM minimum constant pressure. You can change out the orifice to 1.1mm to get it closer to the 1.3GPM that most Ryobi / Portland pressure washers have.

Both are good choices for the money. I’ve brought the 100$ foam cannons before and couldn’t tell the difference from the cheap ones. The rubber gasket will wear out pretty quickly in all of them which will cause aggravating leaks. So far I’m liking the Roybi one because it seems to be built a lil better than the amazon ones. Decent foam too..

Idk if it was mentioned but the Amazon Foam Canon sees a decent pressure washer, most of the small electric units do not supply enough GPM flow. The thing to do is replace the inner nozzle with a 1.1. They are like 4-8 dollars.

Ryobi can be adjusted you have to twist the blue part

The Ryobi foam cannon allows you to disengage the soap feature all together by pulling back the lever fully so you have water only. This feature allows you to adjust the amount of soap applied during the application. You don’t need to remove the cannon. This is a nice feature. Maybe read the instructions before doing a comparison review?

Take it a step further. After the foam use the mitt for better results after the rinse

If you replace the orifice with a 1.1mm orifice, you will get thicker foam too. I picked the amazon one up too and am a lot happier with the 1.1 orifice.

Hey man for some real whip cream foam, get a 1.1mm orifice off Amazon. It decreases the water run through so you get more foam. Then for your 350z you don’t need the full liter of water. You were using 100ml of soap and 900ml of water, that water just dilutes it way down. The more water the more soap. For your 350z all you meed is 150ml of soap and just 450ml of water that will cover it no problem. Then your foam will be super thick and lift the dirt off much better.

I have the same Ryobi and same foam cannon that you used first but I can't get a wide spray of foam, the foam cannon only shoots a lot of foam in a straight line. Thinking I'll return it after seeing yours spray so wide in this video. Mine must be defective?

Not too many people know that the blue nozzle on the Ryobi can be twisted so you can get a better foam spray. You had it on it's narrow spray and that's why it was runny. I know your video is old but i just wanted you and viewers to know. Again, twist the blue nozzle on the Ryobi and you will see a Big Difference. .

The ryobi foam blaster gives more pressure vs Amazon's bigger spray zone. Isn't the point of washing the car to get it clean, or to get it soapy? Anyone can dump a soapy bucket of water on it and let it sit. Ryobi gives the elbow grease in my opinion.

I have a ceramic coated car and also bought the ryobi foam cannon. In the video you had it wide open which is supposed to be used to reach far away surfaces like 2nd story windows. Bit of an unfair comparison without rotating the blue nozzle. That said, the ryobi cannon doesn't produce enough foam (so the Amazon cannon still would have won this race). I bought the Chemical Guys cannon and it works much better, tons more foam even on my ceramic coating.

Use hot water when mixing with soap

Idk is it that the Ryobi was “runnier” because you didn’t fill to the recommended line? That would cause it to be more watered down when you filled it with water. The consistency of the soap won’t matter because it’s actively mixing it with water. They probably have different mixing rates within the holder. Also you filled the amazon canon with more than what was required, and the Ryobi with less I think your test is not a fair assessment. Too many variables, make one where you follow the instructions of each so that the mix rate is at the manufactured guidelines but with the same soap that will be a fair assessment.

Changed too many variables, invalid test. You should've used the same amount of soap to water ratio on both cannons. The runny-ness comes from the water to soap ratio, not the sprayer.

For ryobi. You don't need to have it all the way forward or back... it works the same as a dial

i'm no expert but it looks like the pressure you have shooting from the Ryobi is set too high, the Amazon cannon you had it set at a nice heavy misting pressure but with the Ryobi it appears like the pressure is so high its blowing the foam out too hard and it scatters
