I am a homeowner with a day job who does not do anything construction related for a living. That being said I am working on framing out my basement and Bought this kzfaq.infoUgkxHQsUrwNr5GQrnx9V4xDdUr56qxwuiBHt gun. I have done a few walls already, have probably shot a couple hundred nails through this thing and have yet to have a misfire. It works awesome, good depth on every nail if you have your compressor set right. My literal only complaint is that it is a bit heavy and my arm can get a little tired especially whrn I am nailing at odd angles. That being said I am super happy with it and would buy it again. Hoping the old girl allows me to get my whole basement finished out!

Sorry for the late response. I am not really an authority on safety. There are many other channels that can give you better advice than I can. Basically for me, I treat every tool with respect, I keep my fingers clear of the target area, and I wear eye protection. I hope this helps. Cheers.

@AleCatGarage I got 3 more appointments to do, and I'm hoping that was a 1 off. I really like Ryobi, but I'm nervous. Got their HP jigsaw... 4 days later, it had to be replaced. I hope it survives this trip. 8 mm engineered flooring is tough on tools I hear, but my it should be able to handle more than 4 days. Everyone I know that has Ryobi loves them, and were surprised to hear. Maybe they were just built on a wednesday

What is the ramp up time for this new nailer compared to the 320. A side-by-side shot would have great. I'm a DIYer that's in the Ryobi and M12/M18 world. I sometimes borrow my neighbors 320 to do something quick, not get my air gun out. I can't stand the delay /ramp up of the 320.

I forgot to ask after using for more than a month or so on the brushless one version how much deeper can or has been the difference of this new model , and one thing I’m so confused is will the batteries of the older model with no ( back button 2 pins to help comúnicate w the tool) will this new brushless work w all ryobi batteries ? Or this new tools will only exclusively operate and fit w that new battery ? The reason is I wanted to get this but I saw there’s a dewalt/ Milwaukee bat Adapter since I don’t have any batteries of ryobi .. w the battery on the platform I have it shows the level so that wouldn’t be an issue as I have used this battery for many other diy things it’s just a tool I want to obtain w out the battery system maybe later but after I give this brand a test :)
@AleCatGarage

All Ryobi batteries work with all Ryobi tools old or new. The New HP batteries have 3 contacts but not all HP tools have 3 contacts. This is for extra performance as per Ryobi. The HP tools I have so far, including this nailer do not have 3 contacts. I have seen these battery adapters you mention but I don’t have any. If your interested in trying Ryobi tools, many times they have excellent deals on a tool and battery bundles, that way you can get a true test experience. Just a thought. I hope this helps.

Hi Darren. The HP seems to have a smoother strike and a faster reset. Seems more quite as well. I like it better than the Dewalt nailer actually. Also, my regular brushed Ryobi nailer has been performing great after cleaning and oiling and it’s over 5 years old. After putting some hours on it I am very satisfied with the performance of the new HP model. Is it worth the extra $50 or so over the regular model? For me it is. For me it was. I’m happy with its performance and efficiency and it does feel a bit lighter in the hand. Plus, I’m already invested in the batteries. I’ll pay the extra $50 for the tool. Now, if you your looking for a starter kit for example, the regular nailer with a battery and charger at this same price point is a fantastic deal IMO. Thanks for your comment.
