Check out the Ryobi P325 AirStrike here ---- www.ryobitools.com/power-tool...
Ryobi just released the newest offering to the AirStrike lineup with the P325 16ga finish nailer. It is part of the 18v ONE+ lineup of tools, and is completely compatible with all other 18v ONE+ chargers and batteries.
The nailer accepts finish nails ranging from 3/4" to 2 1/2" long, and the 2" long nails in the video with ease. With a high capacity P108 lithium battery, you can expect up to 800 nails per charge....which should literally last you all day.
No more compressors, air lines, or fuel cells needed. This tool eliminates the need to bring a generator with you to run your pancake compressor at a jobsite with no power....since it is cordless, you wont be dragging an air line around with you.....and since it doesnt use fuel cells, the long term savings is substantial.
Check out the review, to see the new features that Ryobi has built into this new AirStrike nailer & see it in action! :)

Great video, informative and you answered the questions I had since i picked up a new Ryobi P325 airstrike a couple of nights ago. Thank God for KZfaq and people like yourself who take the time to make the videos and post them up for others to benefit from. One question I have is whether or not Ryobi makes hard case storage box for this tool? DeWalt makes storage cases for many of their tools and it would be nice to have a case for this tool. What other storage cases are available and what would you suggest for those of us who like protecting our tools when not in use? Thanks again as you did an outstanding job with the video!

I tried it on a fence section (a common outdoor job I need to do). I found it underpowered compared to my air powered finish nailer, and it was not able to sink the nails. Thus, tap tap with a hammer. Better to get out the full compressor setup. Also, I found it actually heavier than my air powered nailer. Seems like they are adding an air nailer, a small air compressor, and a battery all to one unit. The result is actually fairly heavy. It is not bad for my small repair jobs, but again, better to get out the air gun for bigger jobs. PS. bump fire mode is a great way to get a trip to the hospital.

Great video well explained as well. I'm thinking of buying the Ryobi plus one stuff and came across your video about the nail gun. I have a Tackwise nailgun that's ok for light use eg backing boards on cabinets etc, but I wanted something stronger and without the use of a compressor. This is great, just have to save enough to buy it ha ha. Thanks again. Barry from England.

Barry Roberts Thanks Barry! The Ryobi ONE+ lineup is a great option for DIYers, and I like the fact that they have not changed the battery platform for many years (with no plans to in the foreseeable future). I've got the brad nailer of this and I love it. I used it in a carpentry class once and it kept growing legs and the professor said he would have to go out and get one. The only thing I would like to see on the finish nailer is an angled clip to make it easier to get into hard to reach spots.

Best video re: this Bakker I’ve seen and to be honest , since I’m not a carpenter, I think I will keep this cause it’s a decent budget nailer. It’s obviously not as nice as a Bosch, DeWalt, Mikita , or Milwaukee, but if you compare it with others if Ty e same tier like kobalt, rigid, which is the the same company, it poter and cable, I’m solite you wink see it’s not a bad machine

Yeah, their transition from stem pack to slide pack has been a very interesting one. And not handled very well in my opinion. It is an outstanding line, and most of the tools are stellar once they are released. I'm sure they're coming, sooner or later, and I hope they're taking notes from Ryobi here.

I have one of these nailers and it refuses to fire more than 3 nails without jamming. The nails seem to get caught in it and I haven't found any brand of nails that will work correctly. Any ideas. Also a ryobi 18 gauge battery nailer that isn't working but it did get wet yesterday so that would probably explain that.

first of all, I have both 18 Brad and 16 finisher as well as stapler - love them all. Now, I have experienced an issue - these units do not seem to like working in cold weather or high altitudes when it is cool. I had to take my 18 Brad nailer inside to let the unit warm up, then (@ 5000') it worked, albeit slowly. had it not work at normal altitude in 45 degree weather with only 2 lites on the high capacity lithium, put a fully charged battery and then it worked fine. I love these puppies - looking to ryobi to bring out a 16 penny nailer (not finish). so just heads up, if it is cool or cold, warm up the unit first.

One question re: this nailer, there seems to be a grey thing on SE corner of the gun when you place it with the “tuoni” make facing down, nose pointing to the right, what is that thing? You can see it in the video as well …seems to be right next to the return latch when you punk it down to load that rail…

Thank you. Manual was totally useless. Your video was compact, very well produced, and very eloquently spoken. You did not discuss different types of nails. I want to shoot something heavier than the sample that came with the tool, so I will ask at Home Depot. Is there a particular brand of nail that works better than others, regarding feeding, jamming, etc.? I want a quality nail, not necessarily the cheapest one.

Real Tool Reviews I love cordless. I've been slowly building up my 18v Ryobi collection so it's sad to see there isn't one for framing. Outside of Ryobi, I'm not loyal to any one brand but if you can recommend something that's not over the top with price, something that's good value and will last for years. I'm doing jobs like making a greenhouse in the backyard and possibly some decking in the future.

biclar From what you are describing, I honestly would skip a framing nailer & invest in a nice impact driver and drill. You would be a lot better off using exterior screws on greenhouses and decks than using nails. Most cordless framing nailers are going to run you $400-$500.....Paslode nailers require gas cartridges.....if anything for what you are describing with limited use, I would go with a pneumatic nailer/compressor kit combo.....a lot of times a pancake compressor and framing nailer will be less than a cheap cordless version. Definitely read model-specific reviews on Home depot's site, the quality will vary from model to model.
