Ryu’s relationship with Ken is a strong brotherly bond despite being rivals.

I really like, respect, and love the story of Ryu, but Ken is my go to guy. Ironically enough, my brother is a fan of Ryu. When we play, its most of the time equal wins and loses.

Ryu has always been my favorite character since I first played Street Fighter 2. Along with Chun-Li, Guile, Sagat, E.Honda, Cammy, Gouken, Alex, Ibuki, Sakura, Juri, Akuma, and C.Viper.

Ryu isn't a dark character, he's the hero of the series lol

Ryu was my favorite from day 1 in sf2. I feel like Ryu is the optimum martial artist. Skill and technique is flawless but his ☯️ is the real fight and as most of them preach it's all bout discipline

Even though many fans from both Japan and the Western ship them, Ryu’s relationship with Chun-Li has not been explored in this fighting game franchise. Only thing I know is that she has grown fond of him since the 90’s SF2 manga. And in the Canceled Street Fighter Chinese Manhua series, Ryu and Chun-Li had an on, off and on again relationship. Since these two have become mascots for Capcom, I wonder if we get to see it in Street fighter 6.

No one might realize that but Ryu's path as fighter basically mirrors that of both Akuma and Master Gouken,Evil ryu represents the path ryu would've taken if he gave into the Satsui no hado,becoming similar to Gouki,while in the main Canon storyline,Ryu has rejected the dark Hado and is following the path of mu no Ken like Gouken.

Ryu is the most balanced character in sf (usually), his backstory is bland, ryu is the gray of sf. Ryu is the alpha and the ohmega in the franchise while beeing neither. There are no shocking reveils, no dramatic beginnings or endings. Yet he is a bit of all. Ryu is more the storyteller (or witness) than the subject. He is the red line that runs through it all, because he seen it all.

Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist has given Ryu more of a personality and naivety which is not shown in the gaming franchise. For example, when Gouken Sensei is forced to make a decision to allow Ken and Ryu embarked their own Warrior’s Pilgrimage since Akuma can feel Ryu’s Dark Haduo. But Ryu doesn’t want to leave his own master and father figure. I wish we have a sequel Street Fighter: World Warrior if not for the delays and setbacks.

Ryu would’ve been a great adoptive father to Li fan since he saved her and Chun-Li from the inferno in the climax of Street Fighter 5’s story mode.

You forgot to mention Ryu also becomes Mega Man in SFV: Arcade Edition Mega Man X Dive (Free Mobile App) has Classic Ryu 🥋 but I *THINK* you can change out his *Shinku Hadoken & Denjin Renki* attacks for hundreds of different Buster Cannons & Mega Sabers. The graphics/performance, weapon leveling/rarity mechanics for customization, character progression, hundreds of weapon combinations & unique character buffs takes this game levels *L E V E L S* above 99% of mobile, current & next gen console platforming / run’n’gun hack’n’slash games pale in comparison. I say all that to ⭕️ back the idea that Ryu is such an icon in gaming even *Mega Man X Dive* had a *massive* upgrade propelling it beyond 95% of the $69.99 games that are being released through the end of ‘22 damn near 3 years after releasing & for me Ryu is the reason for that! A small addition which seamlessly culminates his legendary status. Long Live The *GREATEST* Character in all *Fighting* Genre games & I can’t wait for SFVI to continue building on the 30+ years of the series’ story of *RYU🥋*

True Street Fighter fans should help the designers by introducing new ideas like renew Ryu journey and battle with Sagat maybe a series on Netflix then update the classic make a game it may probably give details to the story but after Street Fighter 6 open world they should never go back that game gives you so much to do plus having street fights is so close to real meaning no matter how high your level is you can still lose in street fighter 6 on the streets there's always something to do the fact you can create your own character trying to build abilities is what makes street fighter 6 fun you do any and everything to turn your character into a fighter you imagine your character living in a world where he loves training and exhibition matches with all The past and future characters of Street Fighter great concepts i like to the designers make a game that separates every fighting style like Ryu Ken Gouken Akuma they studied under a similar foundation but when do Violent Ken his fighting style should be different gritty like if a fighter does a dirty move it should have a effect that shows that damage like if Ken kick you in the nuts the opponent would bend his head holding the stomach but then Ken knees them in the face and hit them with a ruthlessly dragon uppercut i think when you do a Evil Ryu what's evil about him if he doesn't show it in his fighting style so Street Fighter Creative designers keep on for many years to come.

What can we say about Luke being on the cover of Street Fighter 6. I see it like this? If you showed a casual fighting game player a picture of Luke & said name him & the game he is from? They would not be able to do it! On the other hand if you swoped Luke for Ryu then asked the same casual fighting game player the same question 99.9 % of people know Ryu is from Street fighter. Now if the game was UFC 6 I could see it but it is not. It is Street fighter

Woh woh....the red cloth around his head was a bandage torn from Ken's gi when they were training. Ken performed a move and Ryu got cut on the forehead. Unless.....the first ever movie of street fighter is not canon now?

he nothing more than a copy of Ken or is ken of copy of Ryu doesn't matter gouki is the far superior character for all of you that don't know that name it'd be Akuma and they're both a copy of him because according to Street Fighter lore he was before them even though he didn't appear any game until after them and then there's the whole misprint of shinlong not to mention that tiger guy or is he saying Viper then there's that old school rumor if you can defeat Saget in the final round using ken doing the dragon punch on the hardest setting without dying and taking any damage not even once on your playthrough you'll be able to fight shenlong instead of M bison oh I hated that rumor because it was really hard and then when you finally pulled it off you were really mad cuz that didn't happen then there was quick change Ryu who could turn into Ryu Ken andd Akuma that teased you with a guy wearing a gold jumpsuit with a doctor's mask on the animation screens before the fight and after the fight was this shenlong but there was no answers to that it was just kind of one of those things that Capcom just never talked about and forgot about and I guess which brings us to evil Ryu which in turn is just the one a bee Akuma not to mention they gave Ken a stronger Dragon punch but ryu had the better Kamehameha wave and a better spinning kick thing butt akuma still out classed them both cuz he could do all that in the air and teleport which brings me now to Chun-Li I'm not sure if Ryu and Chun-Li started hooking up but all of a sudden out of right field Chun li now plays like Ryu too which brings me to Sakura is she like Chun-Li and ryu's kid and I'm just going to throw this out there Chun-Li has the most broken super in all of Street Fighter history it literally takes like half of your life and it's just a kick and a bunch of fireworks so right there we're up to 6 characters and then Here Comes Dan what and why so we're just going to take range projectiles straight away from this guy the first time you throw a fireball with Dan you quickly realize why did I pick this character and the next thing you know Akuma is doing the rageing demon on you so what are we up to now there are seven characters that play like Ryu but yet somehow are different enough to be their own thing still think it would be cool to see shenlong though and we still don't know who the dude in the gold outfit with the white hair and the doctor's mask is sometimes I really hate Capcom

All of this stimming from the simple fact that he hates to lose nothing wrong with that the Sagat fight was tainted by the raging demon because of that and that one fight with Cody and possibly feilong as well it's implied and believable that Guy beat Ryu as well be he didn't face the dark hado as all the others have had too all are cooler characters btw too more to offer Ryu is well Ryu of course Ryo sakazaki is way cooler

My favorite street fighter character is guile he was the main guy until Ryu and Ken came along and now he just takes a backsit to them now I wish they would make guile interesting again because pretty much through out street fighter games he has been trying to get revenge on bison for killing his friend and he didn't even get to be the one to take down bison Ryu was the one to destroy bison for good I would say guile Cody and the ninja Guy are my three favorite street fighter characters but you haven't seen Guy or Cody in a lot of street fighter games which I wish they would stop doing that we know everyone loves Ryu and Ken but what about the other street fighter characters because people make it seem like Ryu does all of these amazing things by himself but he has friends and other fighters helping him so I would like to see guile take center stage in the next street fighter game please don't have him taking a back seat to Ryu and Ken for ever
