UPDATE: The original Nico Nico Douga video has been TAKEN DOWN, after being one of the site's most popular videos, due to a copyright claim. The video was just shy of 1,000,000 views (977,471), and everyone in the Nico community is pretty pissed (with good reason...this movie is awesome.) With Nico Nico Douga starting to clamp down on fan-made content such as MADs, we may start to see less of these masterpieces...hopefully KZfaq will come to their senses and realize that these videos are actually PROMOTING the shows that are contained in them, not infringing on the copyright. Jesus.

So I decided to make use of my Director's account on KZfaq (which allows me to bypass the 10-minute limit on videos) and upload the FULL version of this Nico Nico Douga medley, cause splitting it into 2 parts (like the other versions on KZfaq that I've seen) breaks flow somewhat.
This is the "Chaos" version of the Ryuuseigun medley, which, while busy at times, is probably my favorite version.
I'll be trying to post a lot more Nico Nico Douga videos to YT, for the people who don't speak/read Japanese, and don't want to go through the trouble of registering for an account on Nico.

@@heterodoxagnostic8070 Iirc this is one of many chorus remix videos that were popular on nico nico douga(the japanese youtube, essentially) back in the day. In a way they're kind of like what youtube rewind used to be, they would mix a bunch of popular video songs together, and then get a bunch of famous singers to sing them together. You might be able to find a little bit more if you poke around here kumikyoku.rintaun.net/wiki/Main_Page . There are a few others that are jams too, like niconico douga kumikyoku, and even other versions of this

It's hard to not consider the date. Memes are not ageless, they simply stop being popular and It's a video all about dead weaboo memes that won't come back anymore. I remember watching it when they were still alive and this video was truly a godlike compilation. Now it's more like a historical record. And this makes a lot of difference, then it was about silly things that were still popular, now it's about past. Of course that the reception will differ.

If the kids nowadays wanna know what it sounded like to be a kid in the 2000’s, this video is a very good example of that. Every last song in this is a piece of our shared history as the youth of the 2000’s, and honestly even this video itself got a lot of watches out of me and my friend group from way back then. I even had an mp3 of this that I played very often in my Whirled rooms (the ones who get it get it) for years before the untimely death of Flash. It’s just so good. I come back year after year, and I hope it never gets taken down.

She is Hatsune Miku, one of the mascots of a digital voice programme called VOCALOID ("Vocalist+android") developed by Yamaha. For more details and information you can always look it up on wikipedia. There are several VOCALOIDs, but Miku is by far the most famous one, and she's become sort of like a muse to many underground music producers in japan, and many very good songs have been written for her to sing by fans since her creation.
