Got my first razor 1000 recently also. Noticed that under the seat the battery and some wired/fuses are exposed. (No cover) is that how most razors are? Just thinking if it'll have electrical issues when it comes to washing the dirt that's under the seat

No that's not normal it should have a cover that snaps on over the factory fuse box

@@adamepperson4041 hmmm I'll see about buying a cover. But no cover that covers that whole tray where battery and fuses are located?

No cover for batteries and everything, only the factory fuses. If it has single wires running off the positive side if the battery with a fuse on the wire, that would be a fusable link and some of those dont have covers either. Your factory fuse cover will have what each fuse is and location on it as well.

What type of battery is the second one? Does it need to be deep cycle AGM? Or can it be any 12v battery?

My second (jump battery) is just a Walmart 325CC lawnmower battery. I had to cut the plastic between the 2 battery's to get it to sit flat. I got a pair of cutters and cut it in a few different places then got a pair of channel lock plyers and tore the pieces out.

So you only flip switch when battery dies??

Correct. Open switch to when sitting close switch to start and go. Simple as that.

Ok help plz I found the same switch at napa but only one of the holes is threaded and ones just a hole so which battery goes to the threaded hole and of course the other battery well go to the none threaded hole thxs.trying to set mine up the same way thxs

Is it just a single pole throw? And you just run both negative wires from both batteries too it correct? This throw switch I have has a red and black does it matter which one goes where on the switch?

I would use the negative, due to spark. It doesn't, but if it did you rather it spark to a ground.
