As someone living in Canada who is curious about the UK, I am really enjoying this UK series you created, keep it up Jason! It's good to be positive while being down to earth and realistic. Unfortunately, there are some critics of yours who think being down to earth and realistic mean being negative. The folks who think this way are those who have already moved to the UK and they don't want to have that feeling of "buyer's remorse." lol I think your vids are fun and informative.

中餐除左好食之外，要有酒牌先至賺到錢有英國人幫襯，侍應對食物及酒水的英文要熟悉，又懂同客人溝通互動，其實是專業嚟㗎。好多華人唔懂或唔敢用英文你餐廳點餐，西餐牌都唔識，所以做唔到呢類餐廳工作，任何事都要花時間用心學習經營，無免費午餐。

只能講英國生活節奏慢，比較適合養老放慢、放空時間生活的人生活.普通餐廳上上落落好殘舊。不过多数都係干净嘅，街道都好殘舊，以前青少年的時候住過10年，過得還可以舒服，但工作就好慢，本土人的文化好懶散，現在每年都去倫敦玩和探親玩耍旅遊，倫敦古蹟眾多，所以好喜歡.其他方面就好慢，不是好中意.不過每個地方的城市都不會有太完美了！最重要的是適合自己就是最好的！

Daniel Chin 1 second ago I totally understand your perception of good old England and its laissez faire attitude to life. I was brought up in London and went to HK for holiday in my mid 20’s. It was so different to life in the UK and dazed by the 24/7 fast paced of life and neon lights. Couldn’t read any of the Chinese character shop fronts and confused about my orientation as there wasn’t really any distinctive landmarks. Loved the late night shopping, having buffets in hotels, cheap taxi fares and decided to look for a job. Finding domestic and household help is so cheap and easy. I would find it a struggle if I had to go back to living in the UK. I think Westerners are quite lazy and have a drinking culture that I don’t find appealing. They are always going on strike for all reasons especially train drivers. My parents also started their lives working in restaurants and were very successful but none of their children followed them into the profession. It’s a dull and boring life. Singapore and Malaysia could be another option for me.

thx Daniel! England and Hong Kong and Singapore or Malaysia are very different. We had so much fun filming in June? It feels like such a long time ago. We set out to have a bit of fun and to show the cultural differences. There's just too much to film. The UK is like you say very relaxed and they're such a nice selection of places to choose from. Easy-going in Cornwall, lively London, nice mix of both in Manchester or Birmingham.

Nowadays many immigrants from Hong Kong are working in the office instead of restaurants. You can try some jobs in law firm, CPA firm or IT industry etc.

Unless, otherwise, you're born and raised in the UK with a professional skill, it is highly unlikely for a BNO'ER, with a Chinese feature, to be employed in the office. Don't be delusional, Freedom ?Democrac? It all boils down to who is to serve, and who is to eat.

Because of all the noise, we decided to watch a few episode. Didn’t think it was that critical, but we found the context quite boring and choppy... wouldn’t continue watching. 杜汶澤commented on BK being expensive also, but his episode was interesting from start to end. Maybe worth learning from other shows.
