太极拳学，王宗岳论之精矣；其术以柔曲为体，以刚直为用，盖巨力之至，非柔曲不能化之灵；彼力既化，非刚直不能放之远；故曰：曲中求直，蓄而后发。练习此术，在气沉丹田，纯以神行，不尚后天之拙力，而御敌制胜，如行所无事，虽甚巧而有至道存焉。老子曰：为欲取之，必固与之。原谱所谓左重则左虚，右重则右杳，即人取我与之意也。庄子曰：得其环中，以应无穷。原谱所谓气如车轮，行气如九曲珠，即得其环中之意也。故其术专气致柔，盖合于道家，非数十年功力不能用之精纯而皆宜。
The theory of Tai Chi is mastered by Wang Zongyue. Its technique uses softness as its body and rigidity as its function. It can withstand the arrival of huge force and cannot be transformed without flexibility. Once the force is transformed, it cannot be moved far unless it is rigid. Therefore, Said: Seek straightness in the music, accumulate it and then release it. Practicing this technique, in the qi sinking Dantian, purely using spiritual movements, not relying on acquired clumsy skills, to defeat the enemy, it will be as if nothing happens, although it is very skillful, there is still a perfect way. Laozi said: If you want to take it, you must hold it firmly. The original score says that if the left is heavy, the left is empty, and if the right is heavy, the right is weak, that is, people take what I want. Zhuangzi said: If you find it in the ring, you can respond to infinity. The original music score says that qi is like a wheel, and the moving qi is like a nine-curved bead, which is what it means in the ring. Therefore, its technique is specialized in Qi and softness, which is consistent with Taoism. It does not require decades of skill to use, and it is pure and suitable for everyone.
