This video will show you the basics of S-Plan wiring in an easy-to-follow process.
We will break the wiring installation down into a step-by-step sequence as we explain how the S Plan components work and fit together.
For many of us, when we are faced with an unfamiliar wiring diagram, we might wonder what we have let ourselves in for - but the drawings and the method are fairly simple to understand.
We will break the drawings down so that you do understand, so that you are confident when looking at drawings, and so that you can quickly and expertly interpret them in your work.
If you know one drawing … it is not so difficult to apply that knowledge to other drawings. That is, after all, how we learn.
To view all our videos type in LearnElectrics all one word into the KZfaq search bar.
This is video No.189 on our KZfaq channel where we have videos on a wide range of electrical topics.

Hi Dave. Many thanks for this. When wiring the valves, should you indicate the grey "switched" lives in sleeve as in any other circuit? Thanks. Mark

Hi. Do you know if it’s. Fail,in your am2 exam if you put a 13 amp fuse in?
@learnelectrics4402
@learnelectrics4402 16 күн бұрын
I wouldn't fail a student for that if the student could explain why they had done it, or better still, explained why they had now decided that 3A was better. The assessment is all about - Does this chap or chapesse know what's going on? Could I leave them alone in my grandmother's house and know that they will do a good job? Certain things, like not isolating and locking off - definite fails. Hope this helps.

@@learnelectrics4402 thank you so much for replying. My son was given two 13 amp fuses and one 3 amp. He read the specification and it did not st state what fuse to use. So used the 13 amp. He did not have a chance to explain why he did this as he left the exam room. And then realised when he returned home he had put the wrong fuse in. Everything else was correct.
