I haven't come to Australia to the first home by begging them to accommodate me . We paid the amount that they asked without any hesitation or bargain. What happened inside the home can't be revealed fully on social media. Each person is going through different situations. The second incident also happened in the same house. This is their regular practice to take money in advance and to send out the tenants without even giving the Passport. I can't kneel down for this type of person who made a single mother with her kid to stand on the road for the entire night without even having a blanket in hand.

Australia is so different from gulf countries. We can't work here with a visit visa. And to come and stay in Australia with a work visa the cost will be very high if u don't have any relationship here. It's better to search for jobs from India to Australia .or try for PR

We never thought like tht. But as we r going to a new country, before itself we asked how much is the rent and what all things we can use. Then the owner said 2 bed rooms and kitchen. But after reaching Australia owner asked double the rent , that was totally unaffordable and bond( not mentioned before) and many more. If u r in other country without any help with 2 small kids sometimes nu will come to know our mental situation at that time. If we would have not got the home at the correct time, we might be in the street of a new country where we flew with lots and lots of new dreams. He is searching home with other people who have rental history. Then the priority will be for the person with rental history.

Yes... I said that also. I didn't get all this information. And everyone's situation is not the same. Becos of our personal probs we were not able to book the ticket before 2 weeks of the joining date and all. And the owner made us to believe in such a way that no need to worry about anything for two months. Owner assured 2 months of living in that house without any bond. But everything change after reaching Australia. Situation of people varies according to their own issues at home country. We were not able to afford Airbnb rate and food for 4 in the family for 2 weeks. We r coming from India. Not having experience of living in other countries by our own living expenses. My husband went on site jobs in company allowance. This was a new experience. Somebody has to tell this right . Then only others from our Kerala come to know this

Roads are good. And Sir, I said already getting an Airbnb house was also not an easy and affordable way for us . Each and every person has their own personal probs. We have money, but as we got a shared home in the correct location where we need to go for job, we took that house..And I can't tell in a public platform the full thing what happened inside the house. We never depended on anything from anybody here. Asking double rent was an unexpected action from the owner and that made us more screwed in that situation. We got home without any help, we bought Car without any help. We never came here by depending on a malayali owner. And we saved money for buying a car. That's y we didn't wish to take an Airbnb home. I don't know whether u know the daily rent of Airbnb?? Australia may be developed country that doesn't mean people who are moving from India are getting astonished by the cars and roads of this country. Getting more salary is the attraction to this type of countries.....

Yes. We didn't put anyone else in to inspect the house for us. But when we land up here somewhere we need to stay right, so we put a message on FB and the owner asked for an amount..We were ready to give the amount. And before blaming pls think about somebody who is coming for the first time to another country without having a place to stay. Every person will do their maximum efforts to get a reliable stay initially..

If you are comparing prices in India to Australia, you should also compare the wage difference. I gather your husband landed a job before coming here. Thats not a common scenario. So guess the plight of others. Airbnbs/hotelrooms/house sharing are the norm when you are new here. I came here alone, stayed in bachelor pods till I found a job, rented a house and then brought my family. Compared to most of the rest who struggled to start a life here doing hard work, I would say both our struggles were nothing.

Totally understandable, my question was to the other person whose comment look like blaming you. I can totally understand you. I usually watch your videos and very informative for the new comers to Australia. In simple words you explain… I recently moved to qld. Can see other malayalees saying Australians are racist, but at work place what I feel is malayalees are the ones who won’t talk/look/smile at you. If that’s an Australian we say, racist. But on the other hand, many malayalees are warm welcoming, helpful and ready to help you. Just only focus on the good ones. So sad to hear what you have gone through on your initial days.

You could have get some information before you move to a new country .why don’t u ask temporary accommodation. To ur employer ?

@@04829 with all respects, we both are engineers with enough experience. All companies will not provide accommodation if u don't know about tht. We have done enough research then also end up with such problems. I was an Assistant Professor and a KZfaqr before coming to Australia. So many people even my students want to know more about accommodation,for that purpose I have explained my experience. No one is taking a decision to fly within 2, 3 days. What was explained is true and more than that happened that can't be revealed here
