Installed my mk45's recently on my 2017 m8 107. They were a little too quiet with the baffles out. I pulled the end caps and removed the muffler packing and cut 7" of packing off the header end. Slid it back together and it sounds great now. Easy on the throttle and she is rumbly but mellow. Crack the whip on her and she bellows out an authoritative sound of get out the way!

I installed mine today. 9/16th was too small. Had to use a 15 mm deep socket. It was fun.

Tjese mk45 will theyngive you a headache on long rides im looking for someting whith a good bark when on the troltle but to loud on long runs

Hello I have a 20218 FLHTK ultra classic with a 475 cam from S&S and they really made my mufflers louder than before will the S&S 45s have a quieter sound

What is your feeling on the whole exhaust system from s&s the header pipe and mk 45? Is the cat in the muffler and if so that should not void out warranty since your not adding a tuner?

On the MK45, there are no cats in the mufflers nor are there cats in the S&S Power Tune Dual System Headers. If installing both the slip-ons and headers, you'd want to re-tune the bike. We cannot confirm whether doing so would void your warranty. -DrewZilla

Do 4.5" pipes fit on the 2017 Road King Special? Reason I'm asking is because the new RKS has extended bags now. Not sure if the lower portion of the bag will accommodate a 4.5" pipe. And I want to make sure before I order them.

Any idea if they void the HD warranty with the Milwaukee 8? I have been reading a lot of chatter about that. Just got a 2017 Street Glide and I am dying to change out the exhaust...

Steven Thomas swap your stock ones back on before you take it in for warranty work.

Slip ons are ok, anything beyond that requires engine tuning and will void the warranty. I'm picking up my road glide special this afternoon and they put these slip ons on before I even took delivery.

I have them on my 2017 Street Glide. Slip ons with stock header. They do not void the warranty. Harley put mine on.

Not sure if it’s been asked/answered previously, but are these true slip ons or is a retune/fuel pak necessary? If not, do you recommend doing either once install is complete?

These slip-ons do not _require_ a retune, though just like most any other slip-on, you'll be running a bit leaner. So tuning might get the most out of these slip-ons, but it isn't required. -DrewZilla

I noticed a little bump in bottom end tourqe and my 107 seems to pull a little longer into the upper rpm now. I think a tuner, header and air cleaner would really compliment the way the motor runs. Stock the m8 107 feels like a diesel engine... short power curve.

Have your harley dealership do the work......it doesn't void the warranty if they do it!

I bought the mk45 slip ons a year ago for my 2017 FLTRU and just had the Power Tune Duals installed. My bike is sitting at the dealership and I have to buy new mufflers, because their slip ons don't fit their own headers! Don't Buy!

The mk45s for the 1995- 2016 bikes fit the Power Tune Duals... both sides are the same size on those mufflers. The 2017 and up have a larger pipe on the right side because of the stock cat is in the pipe on that side.
