My game crashed one single time. That was hours of gameplay with no issues.

Steam version never crashed once. I play on DX9 720p

They should have passed it someway, shoudn't they? I just don't get why would developers create that transition and not just spawn Clear Sky soldiers' copies in proper Red Forest.

the engine of this game works so that if there is no room for two objects, one of the objects will have to move away. since the doors are already able to move, but supposed to triggered by either a "open the door" script with the F button, or when an npc is supposed to get through it, it will open if you force an object in between the door frame and the door itself. the rifle is the object used to make the door open. works on all doors that are supposed to open in all the 3 games.

Yeah, I assume this is because of the engine, but why would anybody render so much terrain for no reason?

ya it's curious too... I wonder how far would the landscapes go with crashing or breaking the game.

You can reach the end of the map if you go far enough, you'll just see grey nothingness and iirc there's an invisible wall stopping you from falling off. They render this much because you still need environment to look at when standing at the fence, and presumably it's easier to keep that environment solid and functional in this engine than to arbitrarily disable it.

How this works? The in-game guides can't directly guide you to different map, they can only guide you to different part of the same map. And by guiding I mean teleporting there (you can see it if you talk to the guide with nightvision enabled as it will prevent your screen from darkening so you will t be able to actually see that you're only teleporting somewhere), so when you use guide to get into different map, you get teleported to the map transition to desired place, which is set up in usually inaccessible area during normal gameplay. Hard to tell if this works on SoC since guides don't make an appearance there.

I loved it too. But you've got to admit it falls a bit short at the end. It could have a few more areas before the point of no return.

Couldn't you argue the same point for ShoC? Pripyat and Chernobyl NPP were both large but empty.

hraesvelgML yeah but i get the feeling I did more things in SoC than in CS. I love both of hem though, very atmospheric and beautiful games.

I disagree, CS is my favourite s.t.a.l.k.e.r. game, mainly because i think the atmosphere is better and the faction wars are nice.

Well I just finished Clear Sky for the first time yesterday. The problem with it is the game feels like it has a beginning and an end and no middle. I finished the game with 3 whole artifacts and the 2nd armor kit I found. It didn't really feel like it had a sense of progression compared to SoC or CoP. CoP feels like it has 3 solid sections and acts. Clear Sky not so much.

владимир р. He runs into the loading zone that leads to Red Forest. These loading zones are used by guides to get you to those areas, but by taking this out of bounds route you can just run into them yourself. There's a loading zone to Cordon somewhere there as well.

i got the with the help of the "twilight zone"! It seems like it was used during development, but for some reason it wasn't cut out of the final version and so i was able to use it. =)

You know that there are also segmented speedruns. you break level down in segments and try to optimise it for a better time. They are as legit as singel segmented runs. Wondering why you only mentioned the swamp area and not prypjat. The grenade jumping there is pretty much impossible without segmenting.

@@tehgr8tec0rtez There's no mentioning about this is a segmented speedrun anywhere near in the video. It just says speedrun, so I thought it's an one-way go like any other speedruns I've watched. Also the reason why I didn't include any other save and load is because I found myself this video isn't worth watching longer than the part where I stamped.

@@JohnnyCasey true. Its my bad that there is no mention of the segments. swamp is not fun to watch as its mostly running and that for plus 7 min. The fun parts are limansk and hospital. 9:00 onwards.

everything is radioactive around chernobyl. some people named stalker still go there in the "zone" to collect artifacts, which were made by anomalies, because they are worth a lot of money. inside the nuclear power station is a wish granter they say, so a group of stalkers tries to go there and everything gets even more chaotic

Basically shit got fucked in Chernobyl (just like in real life), but instead of releasing radiation the meltdown instead released a cloud of magic and turned people into mutants and monsters while it also created random time holes that doe crazy things like kill people. So in this game you played a guy called Scar and you wanna stop a guy from going to the ground zero of the disaster at the heart of Chernobyl, the sarcophagus (which is also real), because... I don't even remember (it's been a while since I played this game and I didn't really like it, I liked the other stalkers much more), but anyawy so you go there and stop the guy somewhat succesfully before you realize you're actually not succesful, and some kind scientific mumbo jumbo happens and all the people in the area are now mind controlled and unconscious. The guy you were supposed to stop in this game, Strelok, is the main character in the first Stalker (This is a prequel).

Именно. Потому что нет точки перехода с Болот в Рыжий лес, при этом в таком месте, над тоннелем. Да и тем более, где все бандиты у моста? К тому же в Лиманске видны склейки монтажа, особенно после дома с военными. Кстати, было заметно, что скорее всего был изменен файл Actor.ltx. Потому что дамаг от пулемета, уж очень маловат.

Нет, всё достоверно. Переход этот действительно есть, но он технический (только для NPC, на карте он не указан): каким образом ренегаты попадают в Рыжий лес на другую сторону моста? Или A-life не существует? Ну а во всём остальном не вижу ничего сверхъестественного.

Есть переход в рыжий лес с болот, а гранаты так подкидывают его потому что он в момент взрыва прыгает.

И что, что он прыгает во время взрыва? Гранаты так не подкидывают, даже если в момент взрыва прыгать

Там очень короткий промежуток времени для прыжка, уметь нужно, в ТЧ это работало я проверял.
