I suppose if the Zone reacts to your expectations, it's like a physical depiction of the Law of Attraction, the pseudoscientific concept that what you put your thoughts into is what you attract towards you in life. It's possible that that's why the scientists really don't understand the Zone very much, because, like the Law of Attraction, studying the cause and effect of human thoughts and real effects in the world is very difficult, if not impossible, in a scientific, measurable, and observable manner.

The Zone is the physical manifestation of the Cheeki Breeki.

I agree, all those Electric Anomalies must help power things - besides whatever the power sources for things like the C-Consciousness machinery is/was. Or Artefacts that manifested in place of prior-existing power sources.

Glad to see newer videos about STALKER, I am currently in a binge to play all 3 games and then the Anomaly mod. Right now I'm in the middle of Clear Sky and I intend to end this run with a Vintar, Exo and a UPD compact. (after I blast the end-game with a RP-74 with at least 1000 rounds).

Since Stalker 2 was announced, I became quite interested in this franchise. Thank you for this video.

Ahh... It's one of those things that I wished remained unanswered. Knowing that the zone is nothing but an experiment gone wrong kinda killed the magic.

A crack in the nosphere.....that could lead to another "places".....that kinda fit with the early game idea made by the devs....also could potentially have the same story with the original roadside picnic....with alien visitors and such..... Oh yyyeeaahh Mr.crab, can you feel it?

I think it depends on the game, in Clear Sky the zone IS growing because the C-Conciousness has shut off the "generators" and the crack in the Noosphere is growing out of control. C-Con allows this because they want the emissions to KILL STRELOK and perhaps they're also trying to drive the Stalkers out of The Zone entirely. In Shadow of Chernobyl they turn the generators on because the blowout at the end of Clear Sky gave them a huge boost in man power and now they believe that they can protect the Sarcogphagous with their army and they no longer need to risk letting the crack in the noosphere widen. In Call of Pripyat the C-Conciousness is either dead, or absent and the zone is growing out of control with no one around to stop it. Which is why Strelok joins the military, he's the only one alive who knows about the C-Conciousness. I predict that Heart of Chernobyl will be about journeying back to the Chernobyl NPP, but this time we will be heading half a kilometer due East. To the so called "generators" perhaps we will finally be visiting that cut landscape from the original Shadow of Chernobyl build. But this time instead of disabling them, we're turning them back on, possibly restoring the two collapsed units to try and close the breach in the noosephere. I also think the name generators is not offical in anyway, it was only found in cut content. And if we assume that they are the devices used by the C-Con to restrict the zone, then they aren't really generating anything. Well, maybe they are. But that's a discussion to be had by the writers trying to figure out how they work. Also also its really fitting that the original objective of SoC (shut off the generators, stop the zone) is actually what happens to the Wish Granter/Monolith. You smash some generators and it seems to vanish.

I believe the lights in the underground are lit for gameplay purposes, just to give you a break from using the torch, and to sometimes enhance the atmosphere: you can't exploit darkness if it's always dark.

What if the zone isn't a rip but instead is acting like a bacon and magnifying the emotions that the c-con tried eliminating. Greed, violence,laziness and hatred isn't a uncommon thing to come across in the zone, and if anything seems to be more prevent.

My theory is, that the zone is a punishment for all the people to try interfiere within things we all dont understand. Living a life without anything bad is like eating your favourite food every single day of your life, the more day passes, the more disguisting it is.

How cool do you think it'd be if you could use artifacts to spawn big anomalous traps in S2? Like making a temporary giant electric anomaly in front of you that kills everything at the cost of an artifact. I'd love that

In nature, all things are either in equilibrium, or in a process of achieving equilibrium, such as it must be with the Zone and the Noosphere. The latter has existed for all of human history, yet there has been no record of anything like the Zone from before 2006, so surely an unblemished Noosphere is one such equilibrium state, and the Zone may be moving towards that. And what part are the C-Consiousness playing? For all we know, despite their claims, they are still trying to control the Noosphere and the Zone, basically "picking at the scab" and preventing the wound from healing, even making it grow larger and stronger.

Now i wonder, if it's so impossible to traverse the zone by air or land vehicles. Then how did they put the heavy portable science bunkers there? It also seems impractical to have been constructed from parts on the spot.

Well there's a few questions we can derive from the information given that are entire topics by themselves First, the Noosphere consists of the 'information field' of earth, this includes not humans but all its inhabitants, does that mean a higher concept like the 'emotions' or 'thoughts' of all beings or the literal material manifestation of them, ie the electric activity of neurons and synapses? Second, We know those energies that compose the Noosphere are 'psy' energies and that they have a physical material effect, and psyonics are separate from any of the fundamental energies known to current physics, but how does the noosphere would normally function without the zone being a rift in it? Do the Psy-waves of the world flow normally without interacting with the physical world and the zone is the only place where there's interaction? Are the actions of humans reflected in the Noosphere, like the C-Consciousness implies, that affecting the Noosphere can change the behavior of humans, does the opposite applies? Is the nature of the zone being dangerous a reflection of humanity outside? Third, If there's an energy leaking into our world through the zone, from where is that? Is it just the Noosphere spilling into the physical world, or is there an implication that the rift in the Noosphere is bringing something from another world in? Aliens? Another dimension?
