I am an Assyrian born of of Assyrian parents. I speak, read and write in my mother language, Assyrian. My two sons understand spoken Assyrian but neither write nor read it. We are not the only ones trapped in this venture in the world and unfortunately maybe in the next century no one would be even able to speak the language. I am proud of my heritage and will die as an Assyrian.

This possibility of losing our native language is in the hands of all the people who speak no matter what dialect of our language,we must pass on our heritage to the future generations and try to create a common network in order to communicate with our people who are found all over the world.we have dictionaries that will serve us to supplay our daily dialects in order to avoid adopting foreign words ܚܘܒܐ ܘ ܫܠܡܐ
