If a group of people started going around bombing and killing people in the name of Christianity, would you say that all Christians are bad, when they aren’t? Take any religion, and there’s gonna be extremists who are psychopaths. They don’t represent the group they wrongly claim to be standing for. Many Muslims despise Hamas. It’s like Isis, and how they don’t represent Islam. I know so many Muslim people who are utterly disgusted by isis and Hamas. They pray for peace for both Palestine and Israel. They don’t believe the things those horrible people do. At all

Basically, HBO max isn’t available everywhere. So last week tonight gets full episodes uploaded to countries where HBO isn’t available. Like here in Malaysia, we get new episodes for free on KZfaq every Sunday. The plan is to upload all the seasons on KZfaq so they will be openly available in the future.

There's so much here rewatching this in 2024. The "Pittsburgh Olympics 2024" joke, the.... entirety of the portion about Gaza (the only thing really dating that is the news' fixation on cheap mobile games), and ebola's virality being the comparison point to payday loans, as if there isn't a viral outbreak we're all intimately more familiar with nowadays (not like the 2014 ebola outbreak wasn't devastating, but for a show made in the US, we have a much stronger comparison point now lol.) Here I was, turning this on to joke about dated news stories, and now I'm just sitting and thinking about the harrowing impact of the passage of time. Typical last week tonight experience, but still

The Sarah Silverman part reminds me of how an old woman with dementia in my town had her shoulder broken by police on her walk home from Walmart after she forgot to ring up some items. She left all her items behind, including the ones she did pay for, and was just trying to go home. But the cops decided to throw her on the ground and violently arrest her anyway.
