---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In this episode I'm riding from Kyzylorda to Aralsk. On the way, I'm passing Baikonur, the place in Kazakhstan where rockets are being launched into space! I didn't get to see a launch, but I did walk through some pieces of old rocket laying around there - how cool is that!
After a long and hot day of riding through semi-desert, I reached Aralsk. This town used to have it's harbour right at the Aral Sea, which was the 4th biggest lake in the world.
Due to bad water management in the Sovjet times to irrigate cotton plantation, the Aral Sea almost entirely dried up. Kazakhstan is working hard on dams to try and restore the Aral Sea and at this moment the Aral Sea is 'only' 25 kilometers away from Aralsk. In a few years, this harbour should have water again!

My son (4) asked me recently: "Why is this woman still traveling, she's travelling since a long time?!" After a while I said: "Because she has the opportunity to be curious and to find out how beautiful the world really is... and we can be a part of this!" Thanks a lot!

@F C24mg : I have 2 motorcycles and a moped. All without engine catalyst. My second motorcycle and the moped even have 2 stroke engines. Greta and the Green Party do not like me. Although I'm a friendly guy. 🤫🤣

@F C24mg driving a bike or not has basically no effect on ones overall emissions. That is unless you have cut all normal emissions and live off grid or something unusual then sure it would make a little dent.

Funny that I’m the only one watching Noraly in our house while I’m cooking or sewing. It’s a kind of escapism at the moment for me. It is lovely to see the world through the eyes of a positive person. My husband keeps joking “oh do you want a motorbike?”

Noraly - at a time when our (US) government seems to have forgotten that we are one world and that we should be joining together to make our planet a better place for every living thing, we are so inspired by your fearless exploration of different lands, fascinating people and incredible experiences. You have a perpetually positive attitude and the inherent trust you offer to others who do not necessarily share your language, your religion, your background, your beliefs or your outlook on the future are so wonderful to watch. You remind us of how we all SHOULD be looking at the world. In your videos, we can see the joy in your face as you confront new people and new situations. The challenges that we see you dealing with in your travels make your experiences very real for us - they bring us closer to you and they help us relate to you and to the places you visit, to the people you meet and the problems that you overcome. We wish you all the very best and cannot wait to follow you as your journey continues. Veilige reizen!

Hi Noraly, thanks for bringing us with you on your adventure around the world! Quick tip: if you want to fuel Basanti with your external petrol cans, hold them sideways instead of like a milk carton. That way the air can move into the cans easier and it won’t slosh around so much, causing less spillage 😊 Ride safe! Groetjes uit Nederland.

Such a sad environmental disaster for the folks there. Beautiful fishing villages and the livelihoods of thousands taken away with the sea. It is a thing not well known in America, and I thank you for shining a light on it. A somber sight to be sure, but we can only hope that it may be at least partially revived. Thanks for a great video and congrats on going over 100K subscribers!

Then the man who had a dream to walk on moon convert the program into space foundation & research. Salute this USSR TOP Scientist. Besides this also thends to space race reach to cold war. The place has it's historic story. Admit.✌️

@@sergikoms9611 Yes, it was BIO-WEAPONS including anthrax, smallpox, plague, brucellosis, and tularemia that were created and manufactured on an island in the Aral Sea. I doubt if there was much clean-up after it was closed. In May 1988, 50,000 Saiga antelope which had been grazing downwind on a nearby steppe dropped dead - in the space of an hour.

Looks like you have started putting in a lot more effort into giving your audience a true glimpse in to the places you are visiting. One thing that I have noticed is that there aren't much people at the ruins and historic sites that you visit. I am guessing that the population of these countries are so sparse that it doesn't attract a lot of curious heads... Keep riding and taking us to new places... Awaiting your next video....
