Great video, thank you for posting! I've just ordered an S24 Plus. I currently have had an S22 Ultra Exynos for 1 1/2 years, but really want something a bit lighter. I liked the 10x lens, but used to use the 3x far more. Never really used the stylus at all. I think your video helps show the Plus can hold its own.

I was on holiday in Cancún a couple of weeks ago with my daughter. The pictures from my S23 Ultra were much better than those from her iPhone 14 Pro. After the latest update, I don’t think there would be any reason for me to upgrade to the S24 Ultra.

I had s23 ultra too enough for me compare with s24u i think its same the different maybe processing task and battery but its not enough for me to upgrade

Yes, Exynos 2200 - I think the stabilisation at 8K just gets turned off because it was really shaky. at 4K it seems OK still

Very interesting that the S23 Ultra was better in most photos. Also even with the One 6.1 update, my S23 Ultra retains the Slow Motion/ Super Slow Motion modes. My phone also gets the AI Slow Motion.

Yeah I can't understand why the S24 series doesn't have super-slow modes...doesn't make sense to me

I think they removed the super-slow mode becouse of that AI slow-mo feature. Though S24s can record 4K 120FPS which is a big win at the slow motion category. (Atleast for me :)

When it comes to 30x and 100x zoom pictures. Is the s24 ultra better than s23 ultra. Is the video zoom also better on the s24 ultra?

Yes the zoom pictures and videos look better quality on the S24 Ultra. There's still the issue that the colours don't look true to life though which is quite annoying.

I agree The s23 ultra in my comparison gave better night zoom than the s24u (auto lens switching off) it was the only phone that was comparable to the vivo x100 pro in darker zoom 10x to 30x shots ....

i had the chance to get s24u but luckily got s23u and cant be more happy with it, s24u has this AI which we already received it in s23u and to be honest its all gimmicks i barely use it, happy and wont change til next s25u if it was good, btw wonderful video

I've had the ultra s21/23 and now s24. I find the s24 ultra camera takes much better pictures than the s23 ultra when compared taking the same photo.

I paused 10x zoom of tree in daylight... s24 ultra looks better... in terms of details... am i right? Is that same for 30x as well? You skipped from 10x to 100x. Hence the question... Also... you say that s23 ultra is better at night... is that so in case of various zoom levels as well? Also is it true in case of details amd noise levels as well?

Yes the zoom quality does seem better on the S24 Ultra overall. And yes, not sure why I skipped 30x on the Ultras - will include it next time. The S24 Ultra does look better at 30x as well yes. At night the colours on the S24 Ultra don't look right at all but it still has much better detail than the S23 Ultra. Pause at 06:52 to see the difference in the brickwork - next time I'll do a better zoom test at night as well. Thanks for the comment!

No, that came out after I filmed this - but I'll be doing another test with the 6.1 update soon 👍

I wouldn't say so particularly. The S24U can still be a my S23U battery-wide quite easily but my S23U is 1 year old now..

Incredible how Samsung did not improve anything, in general the s23 is the best, even the s22 has more realistic colors and unless you demand something difficult from it, it still has a good camera

I've cleaned it multiple times but it still looks smudged. I'm starting to think the front glass has maybe deteriorated over time or something?!

I have started to wonder if it's the front glass which has gone strange over time. It looks perfectly fine but I keep getting these foggy pictures/videos... Interesting to hear you've got the same issue too

your 4k ultra wides look awful compared to what i capture on my s22 ultra and i am not happy with my quality. I am using high bitrate videos so maybe that is why mine look so much better compared to your, although still blurred at the edges I can see grass on mine kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oM6CrbRnmcXTg2g.html
