Based in Dorset in the UK, Monkey World is the largest monkey and ape rescue centre on the planet. For nearly three decades, the team has saved countless primates - across 20 countries - from lives of cruelty, abuse, and neglect. This safe haven is now home to more than 200 monkeys and apes. The dedicated staff never stop in their quest to save animals from being mistreated by owners, ending up in laboratories or being exploited in the entertainment industry.

This comment is about Jeremy. It made me cry to see how gently Jeremy washes the little female monkey to keep her clean and then carries her back to her bedroom for the night. She is old, has been mistreated all her life and deserves to have a kind soul like Jeremy to care for her. God bless him and the other workers too.

Every time I see Jeremy interacting with his charges I'm taken by his good heart and how deeply he cares for these invaluable creatures. All the staff is incredible really. Kinda restores your hope in mankind.

I’ve seen all kinds of animals react oddly to grass because they were never on it…it’s wonderful and sad at the same time.

Sally the foster mom seems like a particularly good chimp. Helping all the baby chimps adapt to life in there. Apes have such widely varying personalities.

Human babies are usually the same way when they encounter it for the first time. I agree, it is horrible when animals can’t experience their natural world.

I absolutely love Koko.🤗😚🤗😚 She is so beautiful. It's a darn shame it took so long for her to be released from that horrible pet shop. Her retirement will be happy.😘🥰❤️

Jeremy and Allison r so good with all the animals wish we could see more oranatangs but they r both so loving towards the babies and the adults I am in North Carolina near the zoo only time u can see wild animals like monkey's is to go to the North Carolina Zoo just glad they have a place to help and save these beautiful animals y'all r doing a great job pls keep the hard work and love watching Jeremy with the animals

When they find an ape or monkey 🐒 that's been abused by a human they need to keep that person in a small cage alone for the rest of their life with no human contact while monkeys pass by and stare at them I hate it why why why it just upsets me so God bless Jim for starting monkey 🐵 world and Alison, Jeremy and the rest for keeping it going

The reason the young orangutan was warm to the blonde haired lady was because she looked similar to the lady who used to take care of her.

I didn’t realize that the stumps are so little! They look like they are quite large when filming them without the reference of size next to a human.

OMG! how cruel can you get!!! Removing the monkey's teeth so he can't bite the humans??? Gee, too bad the idiot photographer couldn't figure out what was wrong with that picture!!!
