My Brother sold his 1983 FJ 40, 3 windscreen wiper model for $38,000 aussie dollars in Perth, still original with little rust last year. He bought it brand new

I love that Toyota!!! In Cuba there are many of them still running perfectly! The cost of one like this one over there is around 80k. In Cuba car’s prices is unique in the whole world!

OMG I’m in love. Back in 1972 I bought a used 1971. The first owner really roughed it up so I spent mucho bucks fixing it up. Eventually foolishly sold it. I have such wonderful memories of it. I learned 4 wheeling in ruggid terrain under power lines. Mine looked just like the one in the movie Eat,Pray,Love. I wish I could get another but I’m not a millionaire so I just have my old pics & memories. This is beautiful.

In Australia is was very rare for seat in the back! Only plated as a 3 seater.

Do you have to specify # of passengers? That's not a requirement here in the states. Do you have to get inspection every time a new plate is due? I get my plates in the mail every year. My state doesn't even have official inspection stations.

I see so many cherry F40s down under. I have a feeling that they were many more sold in the LDU than in the USA. Any one have any ideas? Is that true?

These F40s were everywhere down here in the 70s and 8Os alot converted them to V8S, had 3 myself.
