This makes me feel so sad. It reminds me of how at a young age, I was emotionally neglected by my parents and siblings were mean. The "Wish I never ever met you" Resonates in me and we can all apply this to how we feel when we are rejected. Regardless of whether we were rejected by people or a love interest. Sometimes you aren't ever enough, no matter how much self improvement you do whether it be mental, physical, or both. It hurts so much.

I don’t know how to describe it. This is one of my favorite S3rl tracks of all time. The story behind it feels like a lifetime of sadness but the song and mv to it have such a style and aesthetic. I really really love this.

Her parents were divorcing and wanted to buy her affection, making her more and more paranoid about their reasoning, more and more irritated with their insistence on the matter to choose one of them as “the best parent”, and after enough time passed with her like that the parents took matter into their own hands and destroyed her heart, leading to her having to rebuild things with their remains... Poor bnnuy girl...

Actually, if you go to the owner of the animation @CrazedCake they have more stories of this universe. The story actually tells of the girl Bunny (Maddie) being a victim of abuse due to being scapegoat child, the older brother (Chris) is actually the golden child being well beloved and the parents favors him over her, due to being related her father and not her mother, I would assume she is the result of a ONS (One Night Stand) or an affair. Her bio mother is currently unknown atm. Despite that both parents despises each other and looking at this new information of this video, I'm going to assume they are trying to either "buy their affection" out of obligation to keep the family look good (due to Chris being unaware of the abuse of the whole time since they play 2 face in front of him) or because those 2 hate each other, they wanna be the "nicer parent" in order to gain maddies favor in order to control her. Maddie being aware of that refuses, and considering both of them have the broken doll I'm going to assume that the chick doll she has is what is remains of her bio mother as a gift hence why it's kept close to her. Maddie is both abused and neglected in this story, people outside aren't even aware of her due to being hidden in a hidden room in a small closet which leads to her room, If you look closely at where she is sleeping, she's not even sleeping on a bed, she is sleeping on an ironing table. Which is confirmed by CrazedCake themselves, It is a lot to unpack and more stories to come as well not just for Maddie but her older brother as well, but that is a whole another can of worms to even unpack. I recommend checking CrazedCake's channel its super good!

Wanna know what's kinda tragic and hurts? Madde's father and stepmother have been shown to abuse and neglect her, yet when her duck plushie goes missing, she goes to her father....and HUGS him. Why? Comfort? Giving in to the affection they were trying to place on her? Was she just so hurt by not having Mr Duckling (Yes, that's the name of the plush) that she didn't care anymore? Is it Stockholm Syndrome? I don't know, but Maddie doesn't deserve this.

people trough "Stockholm Syndrome" around alot, for almost anything. But that Syndrome only refers to when the victim has there freedom restricted aka is captured and locked in a coffined space where they have to treat their jailors with care, given its there lives is not in the hands of the jailor goodwill Im unsure if the word even is of any use, because like of course you gonna lick feet of someone who literally could end your life in a bad mood. Thats just basic survival. But this Syndrome dose not apply to kids, kids need their parents in more ways than one. They not held "captive" ( normally ) The wish for parents love and approval is much deeper and biological.

@@MouseGoat Because children are dependent on their parents, they absolutely can be trapped or held captive by them, in that since. Most kidnappings are by the other parent btw, so it can apply there as well. Also, Stockholm Syndrome was coined from a misunderstanding of a hostage case in Stockholm where the victims told the cops that their captors handled them better than they did, meaning it as a jab at the cops being unnecessarily rough and cruel. Stockholm is not a confirmed phenomena, nor is it a medical diagnosis. So, either way, what can be categorized as Stockholm Syndrome is moot because it’s not even a well informed term. A better description would be the fawning reaction to stress, as opposed to fleeing, fighting, or freezing, and these terms apply to every human, so it’s more accurate and more inclusive. It could also just been a more complicated response to trauma. Not everyone has clear cut feelings on their abusive parents, especially when that abuse is still occurring.

this kind of thing happens often with inconsistent relationships, especially with narcissistic people(from what i've read on the comments about the story the parents seem to have narcisistic traits, being rotten inside but faking good intentions in front of others). It's often said an inconsistent abuser is worse than a straight up evil one, because the person will always be waiting for "the good side" of the abuser to show up. Like that experiment that was done on rats, where one rat would get a treat every time it pressed a button and would stop pressing when treats stopped coming. another rat would get a treat sometimes, randomly, and even when they stopped coming the rat would keep pressing the button to exaustion, hoping a treat would fall down that time. Similar thing with gambling addiction. That's a good analogy for inconsistent human relationships, if you have a parent that abuses you but sometimes is nice, you're likely to remain attached to them, and endure the bad moments in the hopes that a good one would come. It's the hardest kind of abusive relationship to get out of. source: you might have a good guess of where this knowledge unfortunately comes from
