Out of all the travel you tube videos, yours is the best. I watch them all. I keep looking to see if there's a new one, but I guess your at work. Maybe soon. I've bought a new 4x4 and tinny. Looking to get a van in due course. I'm inspired by you videos. Cheers and all the best to you both. Mike.

Great video. I know a guy who cooks his crays in the steam of the water. The advantage is that you use a lot less water, therefore a lot less gas, and steam is hotter than the boiling water. He sits the crays on a rack he made inside the cooking pot above the water level. Another advantage is that any muck that oozes from them whilst cooking, drops into the water, and the crays/crabs aren't cooking in a dirty slurry. It works very well, maybe it's worth a shot with the crabs ???. You don't have to wait for the water to re-boil between crabs. Take care, Cheers.

Thanks we might give that a try ,we will just need to find something of a basket to keep it above the water level but should work well Cheers Kev

Great episode Kev & Chris, they were all good size crabs. The west coast of Eyre Peninsula just seems to cop the wind in summer (Autumn is usually less wind) The wind break for your crab cooker is yours or the caravan parks? Would love to see a video dedicated to the building of your crab cooker/fire pit. Cheers 🍻👍🏼

Hi Craig I think the best time of year to be on the west coast of the Eyre would be from about March onwards it is still a brilliant area though. The wind break is quite old it was one Chris's Mum got made about 40 years ago ,never got to meet her but I think she would have been a champion, it really helps a lot cooking crabs or even doing a roast on the spit and we will definatley do a video on making the fire pit it has many uses and fits in a milk crate on the drawbar cheers Kev

Hey guys... loving your travels 👍 just a quick question re your boat motor mount. Are you going into production with them? and approx retail price? Many thanks 😊

Hi Amanda we will be producing them one way or another in the future but we are currently snowed under with a massive amount of work so still unsure if we will build these our self on a small scale or try to go bigger and catch a larger market in that case there would be more people involved and a higher cost if we do this on a small scale I believe the cost would be around $400 plus gst ,around $200 for materials and $200 for labour the largest cost is the roller bearings at around $80 for the set of 4 we have another interested party which is looking to build these out of stainless steel but that would also lift the cost Cheers Kev and Chris

we are hoping to get it some time in June but it may be later then we get the stretch GVM and GCM upgrades and the canopy built among other things we will be trying to squeeze in a trip up to King ash in the new ute this year before we do some really serious travel next year after we give up work , we are finding work is overrated and really not enjoying it so dont want to do it anymore
