The Grewal brothers migrated from Punjab, India in 1988; they have been involved with farming and agriculture all their lives. The brothers were nurtured and educated in India, where they assisted their father on their wheat, rice and maize farms. Farming has been in the Grewal family for countless generations, so farming is not only a career but a passion for all the brothers.
The Grewal brothers made their first relocation to New Zealand; this was where they established the first of their many businesses, the brothers started out in the food industry by owning a restaurant and a green grocer. They continued with this industry until they decided to shift to Australia in 2000, they rearranged to Renmark, South Australia. Upon moving there, the Grewal brothers bought a 36 acre vineyard and 25 acres of stone fruit in 2003. In 2005, they saw a great opportunity to expand their assets, the brothers invested in a 3000 acre property in Cullulleraine which was comprised of 65 acres of almond orchards and dry land. However, this land was planned to be developed in to almond orchards.

In 2006, the brothers again advanced by planting an additional 120 acres of almond plantations on their farm, the brothers use the minimum amount of fertilisers and chemicals on their property which is desirable for the consumers. Unfortunately in 2007, there was insufficient rain and the existence of drought occurred. This resulted in water allotments becoming expensive which made it difficult to rely on just farming, the drought lasted until 2010. Even though rain was not scarce in the later years, the drought still had a lasting effect on the plantations and the grown wheat. In 2009, to discover an alternative to farming during the drought, the Grewal brothers decided to invest in a ‘Traditional Stone Ground Flour Mill’, to mill their wheat into flour and introduce their products in to the market.
