SA train drivers call off strike after negotiations breakthrough

Train drivers in South Australia have called off a strike which was due to affect next week's AFL Showdown.
The result comes after a breakthrough in pay negotiations.
The Footy Express was one of many services that have been affected by industrial action and overtime bans in recent weeks.
Unions had been seeking a 20 per cent pay increase over four years but were offered a 14 per cent increase over the same period.
Members will now vote on a new draft two-year deal.

When will idiots understand that pay increases are futile. Your pay goes up, then the costs go up so you are back where you started, usually worse off. The cost of living must be cut.

Hey FOOL. Are you dumb enough to think employers / companies are going to give you money out of their own f-ing profits. They increase the cost of their goods and services to pay for it. So you are achieving nothing with the pay increase. Costs rise, wages rise, costs rise, wages rise. It is pointless cycle only idiots don't understand. The only way you will ever get any real relief is dropping the cost of living. It will never happen while the gullible keep this cycle going.

Do Politicians really need the lifetime Pension? They're fortnightly paypacket is enough, isn't it? Probably buy enough rental properties to set themselves up for life, as well! Do they receive a Pension after every position they've held in their Govermenting jobs?; If so; that's a freak'n lot of Pensions!
