I fell in love with this Car from the first time I saw it. Being 14 when it appeared, I obviously had to wait for the day I could own one. 20 years later the day finally arrived. Dad was a Car collector and he acquired a 1978 99 turbo combi, and a parts car, and gave it to me as a birthday present. What a wonderful feeling when the Turbo kicked in....hoo-ah The best car in my life. Thanks Dad

Nice film really. I growed up with the 900 cars though. First turbo my dad had was an 1984 900 8v turbo. Compared to what my classmates had at the time it was a time machine. They parents had like volvo 145 ,245, ford granada, diesel benzes and stuff. Anoying for them :-)

Brilliant clip at these times 1977 ,cause not only SAAB 99 TURBO has beaten local-matador BMW 528i , even Baxter's report style was classic,, same as for the first Concorde flight in 1969 !! 😐 RIP

I hope Saab manage to keep going. Even though they've lost their way a bit under GM, their products have always had a special quality, and their values seem more relevant now than ever. I'd love to be able to buy a modern version of the 99 Turbo!
