During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth educational videos of automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. This gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you can get without seeing it in person. Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect. I treat every vehicle with the same respect regardless of the year and pricepoint. I film all types of vehicles from the past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. I wanted to share my love for the automotive world with the rest of the world. Be sure to explore the massive video variety, have fun and enjoy The Driver's Seat of KZfaq!

I actually got bored halfway through from all the numbers and technical details he was spitting out. Most of that can be found online. Show me how it looks, explain the most important features, tell me how it drives and the real world fuel economy you experienced and that's a wrap.

all these people complaining about it not having xenon's and air conditioning seats really don't know what these trucks are about. these trucks have always been straightforward trucks, nothing fancy BUT reliable and well built. I don't want my work truck which will get dirty to have super expensive interior that will make me nervous just getting in and out of my truck. my Mom just bought a 2016 Canyon with the Duramax diesel in it for $50,000 and it is NOT a work truck. it is a family SUV with a truck box, and it handles as bouncy as a family hauler too.

Bobby Shmurda Stan yup that’s all Toyota because they are very dependable. Also did I mentioned that Hilux are indestructible? Not just Toyota that are hard to depreciate but also Honda and Hyundai/Kia. I brought a 2015 Hyundai Sonata SE that cost like $10,000 and limited edition are even more expensive.

I owned a 2006 Frontier SL years ago and I loved it. This thing may look a bit dated, but it's still a great midsize and is clearly a bargain compared to the twins and Taco. Even the fuel economy is only 1 or 2 MPG less than the others, with significantly more torque. You also get features, like power seats, that aren't even available on the Taco. I was dead set on a Tacoma off road for my next truck, but I might have to go back to the tried and true Frontier. It's price, capability, reliability, and simple design make it extremely appealing, even now. As always, excellent review, Kyle! UPDATE: I actually did buy a 2017 Frontier Pro4x a few months ago and I couldn't be happier with it, got a great deal too. I love the 4.0 and the 6-speed manual together, effortless acceleration. Anyone who wants an old school truck that can take a beating should take a good look at this one before the Navara takes its place. The Aussies love their trucks and they've had the Navara for a few years but they're not too fond of it, although it did just get a mid-cycle refresh that may have corrected the issues.

I'm in on the market for a mid-size pick-up. You have some of the most usable reviews, from cars to trucks, everything bit of information is exactly what a comprehensive review should be. For example, I had no idea that the current Nissan Frontier Pro 4x had the DANA 44 axle in the rear, which, is a huge plus for me, considering that I do of 4wheeling. I know a lot of consumers might want the up-to-date interiors, but honestly, I only care about the functional utility. I'm confident that this made my decision on the Pro 4x. Huge thanks!

Beautiful truck! Nissan has always been reliable. I owned a Frontier before and I beat that truck to pulps and it never broke down on me. Yes, it may not be as “innovative” as other in the market today, but Nissan is known for building great and reliable trucks!

I was just looking at the latest Tacomas and then the Tacoma forums. Those trucks look REALLY great and appear to get a few more MPGs. It looks like there are some complaints about function with regard to the new Tacoma transmissions in particular. Also, the MPGs are suspect as well. With that, I see very few complaints about the actual utility and operation of the Frontier... they look dated, but are bulletproof. "Bulletproof" is one my favorite features....oh, and I'm expecting them to be cheaper than equivalent Toyotas.

+Texa$Rigged I have a 2011 Frontier crew cab long bed 4x4 that I bought new. I have 73k on it currently. Stay away from 2005-2010 models as they are known for their transmission to mix with the coolant and cause a huge mess. Also these trucks are known to eat rear ends but you can do a rear differential breather mod for under $20. Really easy to do. Its been a pretty solid truck for the most part. Just some minor things went wrong with it such as both rear window motors crapped out. If you decide to buy one I would suggest getting a certified pre-owned at a Nissan dealer one with the better extended warranty. 2011-2012 are solid trucks without all the new technology added. 2013 is when Nissan redid the radio and added the dual climate control. Some people were having trouble with the dual climate and radio for 2013-2014 models. 2015-2016 models are probably the best ones or a 2011-2012 models. Chris

I still like the look and feel of my 05 Frontier Nismo. I like the feel of setting up higher in the seat than the Tacoma had when I test drove each. I felt like I could see better all around. It has always been reliable for me and I don't need all the fancy technology that the newer competitors have. I have had very little repairs so far. Finally after 153000 miles I had to replace the front wheel bearings. About the only thing I would like is a rear camera because of backing up because I have a truck cap and it gives big blind spots.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. People need affordable work trucks that are trucks. To many people anymore just buy trucks for so called status looks or what looks the most fancy. Lets see most people haul wood, gravel, hay bails, animals in their trucks. Oh wait most won't want to do that because they bought a vehicle almost as expensive as their house payment.

DonKeyFaRT We have owned multiple rams/dodge trucks and we had constant problems. You couldn't pay me to own one again. Ford trucks are not much better. Toyota and Nissan are what I trust but toyota charges way more for the Tacoma. Ford should have kept making their original rangers. those were good affordable pickups. The fact most trucks are over 30k now not even 4x4 is ridiculous.

I still love the looks and capabilities of the truck, that's why I just bought a brand new Pro 4X. The Taco is ugly as hell this year, and the GM twins aren't meant for off-roading. Eleven year old design, but with the Pro 4X with the premium packaged (was called premium for the 15's) with the roof rack, my truck gets compliments, even if it is an old design.

I just bought a used 2017 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X that only had 15,000 km on it for $33,000 all said and done. I’m very happy with it so far. I’ve taken it out on some very challenging off road trips and it’s handled the bumps, stones and ruts no problem. I have been noticing some squeaking coming from it (sounds like frame or suspension creaking). I think it’s just the dirt and mud because when I spray the understand with water and clean out the dirt and mud the creaking sound goes away, but then it’ll come back a day or two later. Anyone else experience this? Again my truck is new and I haven’t beaten it up so the shocks and suspension should be fine.
