Synopsis
Saajan (Beloved), a timeless classic released in 1991, is a poignant tale of love, friendship, and sacrifice. The story revolves around Akash Verma (Salman Khan), a carefree and wealthy young man, and Aman Verma (Sanjay Dutt), a kind-hearted poet with a physical disability. Their paths cross during childhood, and an unlikely friendship blossoms. Akash's parents, touched by Aman's plight, adopt him, bringing him into their affluent household. They grow up as brothers, with Akash, the charming playboy, and Aman, the sensitive writer who expresses his emotions through beautiful poetry under the pen name "Saagar."
Life takes an unexpected turn when Pooja Saxena (Madhuri Dixit), a spirited young woman, becomes captivated by Saagar's soulful verses. They begin exchanging letters, and Pooja falls deeply in love with the man behind the words. Unbeknownst to her, it is Aman who writes the poetry. When Akash meets Pooja by chance, he too is smitten by her beauty and vivacious personality. Torn between his loyalty to his brother and his own burgeoning feelings, Akash decides to pursue Pooja, unaware of her connection to Aman.
As the narrative unfolds, a complex web of emotions entangles the trio. Akash's relentless pursuit confuses Pooja, who continues to yearn for the mysterious Saagar.
