Unfortuantely I agree with all the comments, Rails wasn't the smartest choice to use in this demo. But so far the previous videos has been really helpful, thank you!

Not Digging Rails... But... around the 12:00 mark - you mention being able to query if the subscription was active for a customer. Is there a more concise way to do this with the API rather than query the customer, then look up the last invoice, and doing a bit of a dive into it? I noticed you can't query subscription by customer ID. Is there an easy way with the API to do this?

I was following along the whole playlist/course but hit dislike on this particular episode. This video feels more like about rails and it's gems. It should be using an example that uses more popular development environments for saas web applications. or atleast if not popular , it should be something that viewers who don't know about it can follow easily.

Using Rails makes dev use that much harder, I don't know anyone using Rails in production websites anymore, not serious ones anyways.

An odd choice of tech given the context and not particularly helpful as a result. For viewers seeking the generic title subject of "Saas Customer Onboarding" with Stripe this really isn't the video for you unless your target tech is Rails.
