Can't have a good relationship when hearts aren't in the right place. Distance doesn't put love and respect into someone's heart. I agree that if a daughter-in-law seems combative or distant from the start, let her move out. Such conflicts can tear entire families apart. Only those who are fortunate and blessed live together in peace. Fights happen among blood relations too. But everything should have a limit. No girl has the right to pronounce what is halal or haraam about her in law's activities. If a girl is going out of her way commenting on her in laws' social media, then surely there is something wrong.

And in your words if it's " "CONTROL "" then what's wrong in this and how many years they can ""CONTROL "" their kids maximum 3-4 years right ? By the way do you not scold and stop your children when they do wrong ? Those who think that after marriage they should do what they want that's really really hypocritical. Anyway it's all about your mentality how do you feel for your parents. One mistake parents make is to let their sons and their wives rely on them financially. I've seen this in my own extended family where such an arrangement only leads to more demands from the daughter-in-law and even once those demands are fulfilled, she disparages and disrespects her in laws. Please let your adult sons support their own families. Let them struggle a little. It's not the parents' obligation to support their childrens' families. Such generosity can unfortunately often be met with disdain and ingratitude. Saba needs to cut off her son and his wife financially. He's a grown man, let him find a job and support his family on his own.

Saba Faisal family looks very close to eachother. It’s a shame the daughter in law couldn’t find & develop stable , balanced loving connection with them. It seems the lack of love & desperation to be loved similarly or more turned the daughter in law jealous of Saba’s family love & unity.
