i think ive realized what makes this review so shitty. its not the rating, because while i disagree with it entirely i know that everyone can have their own opinion. its the fact that dude never discusses the artistic theme of the album as a whole and barely touches on the lyrics or meanings. its like fantano is stuck on this wild idea that saba is a clone who cant make his own sound, but he never touches on what he actually means by that. who is he imitating in this album? nobody, this album is purely from saba and its beautiful

Fnarano consistent underrates hip hop. Idk if it's his inability to connect to the cultural elements or his strict attention to almost EXCLUSIVELY the musical elements individually but he, without fail, misses the weight of the relevant subject matter and introspection through art of so many vital hip hop projects. It almost makes me proud to ignore him except when he pops up occasionally on my feed. It's a shame and I'm completely uninterested in his opinions on hip hop.

This was my positive introduction to saba. Usually I’m very picky with my conscious hip hop, and a lot of artists in the genre just aren’t my thing. Up until this album that was the case with Saba, but Few Good Things genuinely makes me hyped for whatever he drops next (hopefully in less than 4 years but either way). I’m happy Fantano agrees with me for the most part cus this is a pretty sick album. 7/10 for me My favorite song on the album btw is definitely Still with 6lack and Smino. Definitely the best features for me especially Smino (another artist I’m not usually crazy for but who occasionally wows me), and all 3 of them have amazing chemistry. I hope they work together again in the future

Light to decent 8 out of 10 for me dawg. I do skip 1 or 2 songs. But I enjoy listened to it. I don’t know how does fantano listen to music, but listening to this with earbuds/headphones and in the car throughout the day it’s nice. Especially on a long drive. It has a lot of different sounding tracks and I love the push and pull Suvivor’s Guilt and Stop That bring. It’s like you can never guess what track will be next. Cause Saba’s vocal range is insane and he is versatile.

Me listening to Kendrick: “Damn, this dude sounds like all of the other Compton rappers that influenced him. GKMC? Meh/10. TPAB? 6/10.” You sound goofy as hell talking about Saba and you know it, Mantano.

On top of that saba sounds NOTHING like chance he has his own voice . I really feel like you jus be saying shit jus to say it at certain points .

Damn, no wonder I haven't been watching Fantano. He needs to get out of the house more and stop overanalyzing shit. Saba is one of the most authentic and original artists out there, this album is easily an 8/10 imo. If you know Saba's story this album hits deep.

Please review 'On the String of the Tears bow' by mohsen namjoo. It's a dark iranian/folk album that i'm pretty sure it inspired 'Sinner Get Ready'. I suggest you start with the track 'Allah' or 'Rumelaj'. It can only be found on youtube music though

@ebin1998
@ebin1998 2 жыл бұрын
@@professorXcross I do agree the lyrics are good! But the flow and Saba's energy and the beat are just a complete mismatch, it's obnoxious to me. The hook is grating. Also the vibe/energy of the song is completely off sandwiched between if I had a dollar and make believe. Ruins the flow, would be better if it was next to like fearmonger or survivors guilt

I hated that argument in the first place. Him and Chance started releasing music around the same time and he constantly continues to say that he's influenced by him. Yeah chance blew up only a year after first releasing music but Saba has been posting music since 2013 as well.

Jesus Christ. 44 seconds in and you still hold onto the “he’s just copying other people.” It’s like you don’t even understand what the music is about and you go, “oh a G sharp to an F? Kanye already did this. Meh.” I’m beginning to think maybe you don’t actually like rap. Like everything is just a rip-off Kendrick to you.
