Preciate that bro!! ✊🏾 Yeah I think you’re spot on. Matter fact, if you just rating each song 1-10 and averaging it, Few Good Things might even be higher. Only song I don’t think is good is Stop That but other than that ever song is good - it’s just Care For Me is so emotionally gripping. I’m with you though, though, 2012 make you feel things and I’ll throw Make Believe and Few Good Things into that category too. My favs of his is now 2012, Few Good Things, Busy/Sirens, and Caligraphy. Haha I know exactly what you mean - that’s 1000% a compliment! I think the TPAB/Few Good Things comparison is definitely warranted with how jazzy, funky, and introspective this album is. Im leaning Care For Me though right now. I will say (slightly off topic) as amazing as GKMC is, I think TPAB is the clear best outta the 2. I think in 10 more years tpab will be in best album all time discussions. Not even exaggerating when I say it should be taught in English Literature classes - it has more poetic devices than most of the poems people study in school. Plus Kendrick could write Romeo and Juliette, but Shakespeare could never write How Much a Dollar Cost 😂😂😂 Preciate the sub bro!!

I’m with you on that. I think I got this as my AOYY so far - it’s between this and Gold by Rigz. I got a few more listens under my belt I really enjoy this album. I think Care For Me is better but I mean it’s hard to replicate the emotions on that album with it being so close to his cousins death. Good comparison with TPAB. He def pushed the boundaries sonically on this one and i think the song structure on every song perfectly complimented whatever instrumental he was rapping over.

@@Doctor_Beats haha it’s sick. But yeah it’s been a great start to the year plus a couple more big releases on deck - Conway and Earthgang dropping this month then Benny dropping soon. Donda 2 got announced for this month too which mean we should get it before end of the year 😂

@@BSideRapReviews yuppp, stoked for those albums. Alchemist also has an album with Curren$y dropping soon, there’s a single out that’s pretty good. Curren$y flows are hit and miss for me, but I fucked with Fetti hard when it came out a few years ago. Also, don’t know if you’re up on a cat named Marlon Craft, but he’s been steady climbing my ranks of current favorite MCs for the last two years. He’s a younger MC from NY (Hells Kitchen), I think you’d dig his shit, lots of dope schemes and wordplay, substance, and dope jazzy beats. I’ve honestly not even listened to the first Donda, like I don’t want to ruin my idea of Kanye’s music for myself. I’ve heard all the snippets from that album on IG and in TikToks and shit, but I don’t know…The whole rollout of that album was weird and manic, I don’t really fuck with how much he loves working with Marilyn Manson right now, and that Donda Deluxe was just rushed and lazy, imo.

I loved Fetti but I though Freddie definitel carried that album 😂 i will say Currensy and Al’s Covert Coupe was the album that made me a Alchemist fan. Also Pilot Talk 4 was really solid so this one might be dope. I’ll say you prob good to check out Donda. It’s a mess but it’s a beautiful mess and the songs themselves don’t sound rushed or anything imo. Just make sure you check out the original and not the deluxe cus the deluxe sequencing his horrible.
