Sabah’s first electric bus takes off in KK

Sabah launched its first electric bus service offering a route covering the state capital’s downtown areas of between Sepanggar and Menara Kinabalu.
The bus service is currently running on a six-month pilot project and it is expected to provide the service permanently by 2023.

The irony is,this bus under KK operation but the plate reg is Sarawak’s state.

Unfortunately, the skytrain project is not going to be a reality. From what i heard, there were many corruption cases that involves this project

Most routes still left wide open for grab and taxi. Is this the only e-bus in KK? Are there more soon? Are they going online as a public transit service? Please tell me there are more on the way. Still, this is a mere stop gap measure, what's truly needed is high frequency railway and MRT network connecting KK with it's rural parts and other cities/towns in Sabah. Pan-Borneo already big budget and in full swing with foreign contractors as well as many other projects in Sabah, I don't see why railway and MRT network expansion/development is more difficult or more costly than more road lanes that are harder to control even in what might as well been a laissez faire manner in Sabah and Sarawak since Merdeka.

honestly not that high, it would require either a car accident which is about the same as what would happen to a gas car anyways (minus the issues with electric fires) or something very wrong with the batteries

But it take more pollution with petrol eg, 1kg pollution from coal can move the bus that can go up to 5km while 1kg pollution from petrol can move the bus only 1km.
