Par: "World War I did not really had heroes and villains, just people suffering." Interviewer: "so you cover both the heroes and the villains" me in utter frustration: "Did you listen to anything Par said?"

I feel so much better knowing that it is not just Americans who aren't taught about WW1. It sucks that it's ignored, but at least it's not just us.

Well I had to read "All Quiet on the Western Front" by Erich Maria Remarque, when I was a kid... here in Sweden. It taught me something and that was when we learned about ww 1 so def we learn about it. At least where I went to school. I remember I thought that book was good! I want to read it again, I can recommend it.

Yeah the education in America looks something like this... 1)revolution 2)1812 3)civil war 4)Teddy Roosevelt did something 5) A guy got shot in Serbia and someone sent a weird old school text message 6) WW2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
