And his tone! He was using mesa amplification back then and it sounded great on these songs. Never was a big fan of Tony Iommi's tone.

This was the first album I ever learned on guitar. All those wonderful licks Brad probided on this album… wow! I revisted it like 20 years after I had learned it and discovered I was playing many many parts wrong. Close but no dice lol. But it helped me decelop a good ear through the years. Love Brad Gillis!!!

Most "live" albums were done like this back then .. my fav was Slayer - Live Undead (recorded live in the studio with a bunch of their buddies watching).

Yes, re-recorded. I've heard a couple of the songs actually live and Ozzy's voice was shot. He's off key a lot and not able to hit the notes properly, so there was a lot of re-recording done in the studio.

@@thomasgray7128 There was re-recording and some fine tuning to make Ozzys voice sound almost to perfect but I like it. Too say Ozzy has no live vocals though is not all true. In '82 his live voice was actually good. I saw him live in '81 & 82. He sounded really good. For this record they musta wanted his voice to sound very defined. In the late 80s and beyond, yes his live vocals became considerably worse but in my opinion his shows were always entertaining.
