R.I.P Raymond Ackerman I Pick 'n Pay says SA has lost a brilliant patriot

Күн бұрынThe founder of the Pick 'n Pay retail chain, Raymond Ackerman, has died. In a statement, the company says that Ackerman was a visionary entrepreneur, humanitarian and a great South African.
Pick 'n Pay says the country has lost a brilliant patriot who was always positive about South Africa's future. He was 92.
He bought the supermarket chain in 1967, which comprised of just four stores at the time.
Ackerman has since turned the brand into a multi-billion rand business employing thousands.
