The National Student Financial Aid Scheme says it's commissioned an investigation that's found no evidence to substantiate the Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse's (OUTA) allegations of corruption.
The civil society organisation released a report on recordings that place former NSFAS Board chair Ernest Khoza at the centre of a plot to receive kickbacks from service providers.
NSFAS says its will announce plans to implement the recommendations of its own findings.
The scheme has been established to fund poor students who want access to post school education and training and has supported more than 5 million beneficiaries.
