To all other foreigners or African people I'm really happy to tell you that I'm from India and in our literature course we have a chapter of Nelson Mandela and his experience on the day of inauguration, RIP NELSON MANDELA LOVE FROM INDIA 🇮🇳

I was there that day. I was a member of the South African Navy Band. What a day!! What an experience!! The celebrations afterwards went long into the night. A time of such hope and optimism.

Mandela was the greatest man of his time. He could execute vengeance, after 28 years imprisoned, but chose to build his nation: a truly multiracial South Africa.

Never will there be anyone like this. When he said that he was not a saint, please don't believe him, he was one. He was just saying that to encourage people who look up to him not to give up if they failed to follow in his footsteps because there'll never be anyone like him. He was basically saying "If you look up to me, you are going to make a lot of mistakes, but do not give up because you will never be like me, and no one ever will, and there is no shame in that".

Wonderful ceremony from beginning to the end! May President Mandela rest in peace!

Wow, never knew there was a Hindu clergyman leading the prayers in Sanskrit at Madiba's inauguration. He started off with the Gayatri Mantra.

President Nelson Mandela is one of the greatest leaders, statesmen and global thinkers within the 20th and 21st Centuries. This Inauguration is unlike any inauguration that I have ever seen before or since!

He even developed bilateral relationship with my country the Philippines during his presidency. That's the main reason why Philippines and South Africa are truly Best Friends Forever for the same mindset of optimism and unity. This president is the original ray of sunshine. On national anthem part: 6:27 - 1st one is in Afrikaans "Die Stem van Suid-Afrika" 7:35 - 2nd one is in Xhosa "Nkosi Sikelel iAfrika"

From Philippines....Leadership and Humility....Great Strength...I admire so much how he endure it...I Learned lot of it, but to define...Sir Nelson Mandela only one...Thank you

This is a day I'll never forget, I never felt connected to my land like this ever since.Now that he's gone things are different, I truly miss him he made us to feel special during his time.
