Zimbabwe's foreign affairs minister Dr Walter Mzembi is currently in South Africa to give an update on the situation.
This as the ruling Zanu-PF has issued a statement following reports of military action in the country, saying it would never succumb to military pressure.
The Zimbabwe Defence Force has called on citizens to remain calm around Harare.
