D.O. is such a perfectionist and always tries to be as respectful as possible when speaking/singing in another language. He practices enunciation and accents (like rolling the r's) until it sounds natural. It comes across a lot when there are English lines in their songs too, as he doesn't have the common issue of not being able to pronounce things in English when certain letters, or combinations of letters, are involved. He's just one of those types that does everything 110% because 100% isn't good enough for him.

I imagine it must have been really overwhelming to see a foreign artist with such a huge following sing in your own language and play for a a huge crowd who natively speaks it. I would feel overwhelmed too. Music really does transcend language. This was 5 years ago and it still amazes me every time. Glad you enjoyed it!

Mr. Silvanscar, I only speak English, but the day this video came out I fell deeper in love with Exo. I was astounded also, Chanyeol, the musician, played beautifully. He is the main rapper of the group, plays guitar, electric guitar, drums well also. He is also a composer and music producer also. I think he's 26. This video came out in 2014, still young, but it goes to show how they are thoughtful enough to go that extra mile to please their fans. This was a sold out concert in Mexico. Right at this moment they are on a plane from LAX to Chile, I think a 13-hour flight. May I suggest a video to react to, it's D.O. (Kyungsoo) and Chanyeol on piano at one of their concerts in 2015. The song is a beautiful song called "For Life". They perform a shorter version of the original. [Just type in D.o and Chanyeol - For Life (English Version)]The original "For Life" has a music video, which is good too, but in Korean. I would greatly appreciate it. I would've suggested Sabor a mi if a long time ago if I thought you would've been interested. But why the tears? You were about to make me cry. Aww, it's so touching to see your reaction. This performance actually got a lot of attention in Mexico when it first came out, and then again after the recent World Cup. I think I understand how you feel. It's touching to see someone go through the effort to perform in your language. I mean, they could have just performed their own song but they went above and beyond and it makes one feel appreciated and grateful. EXO routinely does this during Music Bank special concerts. This was the first one I think, the next one was when they sang Nguoi Ay, a Vietnamese popular song, in Hanoi; and the most recent one was when Chanyeol sang Wind of Change in Berlin. I didn't know this song before EXO sang it (I also did not know Corre before it was performed in this same concert) and I came to love this song so much through this performance. I know the whole song by heart. I also discovered Nguoi Ay from their performance and also came to love that beautiful song. It's extra nice because it's a concert for kpop songs but they kind of promote local songs - sort of saying that hey we hear your music and we find it beautiful too.

I LOVE your reaction. Thanks for taking the time to appreciate their talents. Exo sang in many different languages but the two covers that I always watch is this one (Sabor a mi) because the Spanish language is beautiful plus they sang it so well and the Vietnamese one (Người ấy) since it's my first language so I was beyond happy when I first heard it. Everyone sounded amazing especially Chen even though his pronunciation was a bit off. Vietnamese is hard to pronounce so I applaud their efforts. ❤️
