I think a big issue with the situation is that I dont think olivia ever said anything about her fans attacking sabrina and sending her death threats, i feel like she should've at least asked her fans to stop

So the chorus of the song was Sabrina saying how she doesn’t care about what the haters think and that she’s happy in her relationship. And the parts where she mentions Olivia are positive.

In my opinion this song was DEFINITELY necessary( if this was what sab wanted to do) what was unnecessary was the uncanny and ruthless hate Sabrina got after Olivia's songs. It may have never been Olivia's intention for Sabrina to get hate or death threats but that song definitely ended up giving Sabrina just that, for the so called 1 LINE sab was mentioned in. In the end I love both songs, both artists are amazing. When it comes to the lyrics, I could understand the mindset Sabrina was in while writing. She wrote this at Driver’s License peak and when she was getting the most hate. I feel she let her emotions get the better of her and took Olivia’s words as a personal attack, at least in that moment. There are glimpses of both the showboat mean girl and the hurt girl taking turns showing throughout the song and I feel we should acknowledge that it is a tough situation and we shouldn’t invalidate anyone’s feelings. Regardless of how we feel about Josh, it’s clear that Sabrina does like him a lot and to have everyone calling her a boyfriend stealer and the other girl probably really sucks.

Alright I haven’t typed this out before but here we go. As a long time Sabrina fan, it’s hard to imagine Sabrina would even come for Olivia.
