IT’S SOO TRUE, TIFFANY. i’m gonna get a little personal here but when my parents divorced, my dad told me to take care of my mom. and i took that as i need to be this strong masculine figure for my family. it wasn’t until confidently lost came out i finally felt okay with embracing my femininity and realizing i can be strong in that side too. about time was the album that made me, like you said, comfortable in my skin like no other music has ever made me feel. sabrina is a queen, a goddess, & an icon AND I CAN’T WAIT FOR THIS NEXT ALBUM

I cried for months until I found this song and it definitely helped me heal knowing that people around the world are also going through the same problems I had. This song helped me not feel alone or quiet about the mistreatment we women endure to keep someone in our lives when we create a higher version of them in our brains. It is what destroys us, so yes women are crazy for thinking a man will change for her and if he can't change, we think if we help them, they will. We are the reason the definition of insanity exists. It is almost as if you have created a new genre in the music world. The way you take us on a visual journey through your lyrics is mind blowing! I think what captivates me the most about this track is that she’s really talking about self-delusion. (This comes across better in the acoustic version) The lyrics play with the idea of cheating, yet Lying to yourself can be the worst kind of infidelity. In that sense, it’s like a very dark follow-up to “Belong To You”. (Not musically, obviously)

This is insanely meta. If this had come out weeks ago, I would’ve related to everything, including the fine details in the lyrics about a guy I was dating. Now hearing it after him & I have cut ties, it’s like I’m reflecting back on those overwhelming feelings. Kinda like out of body watching myself caught in an obsessive trance. Beautiful song. honestly Sabrina never misses and passes the VIBE check every single time. the visuals are amazing and i love the way she tells a story through her beautiful vocals and music. such a meaningful song with the perfect amount of sensuality!
