The SK Rapid U15 international tournament was first held in 2013 under the sponsorship of Carsten Jancker at the former Gerhard Hanappi stadium to offer the green and white academy teams a suitable platform. Together with many other responsible people from the association, it was decided to organize a three-day event with the aim of international comparison at the highest level. Since then, big, well-known clubs have accepted the annual invitation, guaranteeing exciting games, great parades, and plenty of goals.
This year the ninth edition of the Int. SK Rapid U15 VARTA tournament will again take place as usual. This time, in addition to Salzburg, Sturm Graz and Admira, Juventus Turin and FC Barcelona will be guests in Hütteldorf to showcase Austria's greatest talents from September 3 to 5.
The group stage is already drawn. The young green and white players face FC Barcelona, ​​Ferencváros Budapest, and Austria Wien in Group B. Thus, the young Rapidler can look forward to not only the big duel with FC Barcelona but also a Viennese derby in the group stage.
