KDB Cup is an international youth tournament U15, in which Kevin De Bruyne connects his name to it. The tournament was organized for the first time in 2016. From the beginning, a high quality tournament was set up, where one could see football talents of the future at work. Many of the young talents go on to become part of the A-team of their club or are among the most sought-after young players in Europe such as Umaro Embola from Benfica(named best player at KDB Cup in 2016), Moriba Kourouma from FC Barcelona (best player 2017) and Jeremy Doku from RSC Anderlecht.
Although KDB Cup was only organised for the first time in 2016, it can already count itself among the top European youth tournaments. Domestic and foreign clubs praise the high quality level of the organisation. No wonder then that KDB Cup gets requests from clubs from all continents such as Japan, Russia and Brazil. Famous players such as Gunther Schepens, Tim Smolders, Tomasz Radzinski and Tine De Caigny like to take a look at the Cup. Even Pep Guardiolathe success coach of Manchester Cityflew over to see the talents with his own eyes.

This is really good to see, the support that the boys had really warms my heart a lot & I just hope that this is an indicator to the stakeholders, people who really have means to see that South Africa has a lot of talent & potential to be up there with the best. South Africa is no different to Brazil in terms of talent but it's what we do, how we nature that talent into being next level, proper coaching at the right age in terms of emphasis in the South African game, proper technique, tactical understanding, discipline & just how to conduct yourself as a pro both on & off the pitch is very imperative. Great work that's being done at downs🔥🔥🔥🔥

@@mlibomlyzar9057 i think thts a delusional point of view....just because brazil are a third world country they are pretty similar to us???style of play doesnt necessarily mean quality....sundowns play like man city but would they beat man city??.....sure Brazil might have they same vibe as sa but they do it better and have a lot more sample size of talent thn we do....if we had talent as much as they did....a lot of our individual players would have been playing in Europe....in Brazil football is almost heritage....its imbedded within their history.... Pele...Ronaldo...Ronaldinho....sure sa has potential but in terms raw talent....nd not just any talent...world class talent tht demands even first world countries to scout for such players....vinicius...neymar....u dont see tht in SA....

Amazulu beat Man City when they came to SA. Even Sundowns beat Leeds on a friendly game. SA senior teams have always held their own against English teams. I get your point though, some of our young players lack the discipline to see off their career flourish to its potential.

The only issue we have in SA is quality facilities to nature the players and lack of discipline in the players. But the clubs themselves need to be strict with their policies. If we xan fix the minor wothout a doubt we can easily be among the best leagues in the world. We have the talent.
