Crazy right? Especially since anyone who's been to Bulgaria in the last decade knows that most of them are still actively supporting nazzism? But America sucks...

@@doms132 While there are a lot of right leaning people here, supporting nazzism is not exactly mainstream. Plus the JQ is not really a thing in Bulgaria. The funny thing is that all the people that I have met that talk about the JQ have been makedonian-bulgarians.

And people underappreciate Borat 2. People dont realize that Sasha publicly said years ago that Borat 2 would never happen because it would be impossible. Too many people were familiar with Borat, and people overall had caught onto undercover pranks by now. And he was also upset by how youtubers were doing pranks that he believed violated the rules of comedy, and wanted nothing to do with it anymore. So the fact the came out of retirement to make Borat 2 is nothing short of a miracle. And people don't appreciate it because they think it's not as good as the first one.

I thought only some scenes were complete improvisation but now I came to understand almost the whole movie was done in such fashion. This is extremely hard, it is basically doing theater in a movie, no second takes. For those of you who don't know Maria Bakalova studied at the most prestigious and hardest to get into acting university in Bulgaria - the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts. She has a solid degree that prepared her so very well for this role. We as Bulgarians are insanely proud of her.

He probably never claims to be one, he could have the full doctor outfit and probably pretend to be a doctor and not actually do any medical procedures and he'd still be in the clear, as long as he doesn't actually practice medicine without being a licensed professional and also doesn't claim he is a doctor/medical professional. I'm not a lawyer or anything, so don't even believe anything I said.
@keiwa11
@keiwa11 3 жыл бұрын
@@PASTRAMIKick Well, most people don't even suspect someone in a doctor's coat to not be an actual doctor. So when you have young impressionable girls going there, they just see a white coat and what it represents, and that way also the things he is saying seem more "valid" for them, cos...a doctor said it, so it must be right. Which is very dangerous. This guy didn't have that outfit, but he still was in a place where doctors usually are, which gives him more power to convince the girls they are making a mistake, which is equally wrong.

@@keiwa11 legality and morality isn't the same, what that dude does is terrible, but depending on how he does it, he may not be doing something illegal, yet it's still immoral, but he justifies it, because in his mind the end justifies the means and he's doing a greater good, which is subjective.

The whole movie is hysterical. I was cackling so much during this whole sequence. And as said by everyone, Sacha’s a genius. Maria’s a gem, so funny and just the heart of this film. Sadly her chances for an Oscar win has narrowed down a lot.

Probably a stupid question, but how were they able to film the doctor's office scene? Does the doc not notice the guy standing there with the camera? Other scenes, you can tell the camera guy is much more concealed. But with the doctor's office, he's just kinda right there next to them.

Not sure about this movie, but in the old days they'd tell them they were shooting either a domestic documentary about a foreigner learning the local ways, or were a local documentary team shooting for foreign television. Either way the crew would make sympathetic faces to make the "victim" feel a little more at ease to continue.
