Throughout the history of hip-hop, no single group changed the game in the same way the Wu-Tang Clan did. The real story of the Clan unfurls in the Showtime docuseries, "Wu-Tang Clan: Of Mics and Men," with never-before-seen footage and interviews recounting the obstacles traversed to stay united as one Wu family. Director Sacha Jenkins poignantly captures their struggles and triumphs in intimate detail. Jenkins, Masta Killa and Cappadonna took the BUILD stage to speak on the series.
BUILD is a live interview series like no other-a chance for fans to sit inches away from some of today’s biggest names in entertainment, tech, fashion and business as they share the stories behind their projects and passions. Every conversation yields insights, inspiration and plenty of surprises as moderators and audience members ask questions. It all happens several times a day live and live-streamed on BUILDseries.com.

I love the Wu-Tang Clan! Listening to Wu-Tang in my youth got me through high school and college. Don’t sleep on Cappadonna too! He’s an amazing lyricist. Till this day, Cappadonna still have the best and sickest verse of any of the Clan members. Check out the track Winter Warz!

Derick Ofodirinwa 👌🏾 ok my naive naija buddy 😂 Maybe you’re not from here so, the nuances in the difference between moments of levity amongst brothers and wholesale descriptions of “silly” may be lost on you. The host is culturally an outsider also which is why he doesn’t get it. To describe ANY grown man as silly, unless that man is a comedian, is a slight. Imagine a stranger you just met calling you silly in conversation... it’s demeaning.

On topic. (replying to a statement) There were groups before Wu Tang that made millions, so we all knew rap is a profitable ART FORM BUSINESS way before 1993! It's a hit or miss game. Some hit some don't with the masses. When you hit with the masses, you make money. We saw kurtis Blow make millions. Run DMC Def Jam with LL COOL J make millions...way before Wu Tang, take rap to places we didn't think it would go. IT WAS CLEAR FROM THE very BEGINNING, THIS NEW STYLE OF ART MADE MONEY... from the very start, it was lucrative. You just gotta hit it out the park with something out of nothing.'

True indeed! Cold Crush was the Wu of the early 80's for me and never got their proper respect nor just due but BOY did they lay down one helluva path that lead to many groups eventually reaching the Wu and kept the flame burning!

Almost turned this shit off when the interviewer said the Wutang were more "Silly" ...tf?? Clearly somebody who probably didnt start getting into the Wu until they watched "How High" with Method Man. This was the hardest NY dudes out FOH here wit that silly shit. ODB the only one that was really on that like that and he had more run ins with the law and bein shot more than any of them.

PEACE YOU CEE YOU GOTTA KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH THESE TYPES OF DEVILS IN A INTERVIEW. NOW THIS DEVIL IS PAINTING A PICTURE OF THEM AS A GROUP OF BROTHERS BEING SILLY AND GOOFY. KNOWN, THE WORD GOOFY IS A SLANG TERM THAT IS USED BY BROTHERS TO SAY YOUR BEING WACK OR LOOKING STUPID. AND ACTING SILLY ALSO HAS NEGATIVE CONNOTATIONS ATTACHED TO IT.
