14:42 I have to be biased here for Sachin; you don't have any idea how often Sachin used to play this shot because of his short height and his calm and quiet nature, every fast bowler loved to mock Sachin with their fast bouncers. Back then, fast bowlers bowled at speeds around 150-160 km/hr. Another thing to note is that helmet quality was not as good as it is today. In the early days of Sachin's career, those helmets didn't even have face covers; they were just like civil engineer helmets. There was one match between India and Pakistan that I remember vividly. Sachin was only 16 years old and was playing against Pakistan for the first time. While batting, he was hit on the nose by a ball traveling at almost 150 km/hr. Despite this, Sachin said, "I'll continue to play." You have to see that match; you can easily find it on KZfaq

To all the Sachin fans (I'm a fan myself) u don't need to argue who is great between Sachin or Kohli...In fact we should feel proud that both play for India and have done immense for Indian cricket and world cricket...Kohli would've been great in any era of cricket(Wasim Akram , Courtney Walsh , Vivian Richards and many more have said that themselves) regardless of the pitch,bat,bowlers, boundary size which people always try to bring. He has surpassed Sachin in Odis and will do in tests or not is a matter of time ( Quite difficult ) but Virat is the greatest all format batsman in the history of cricket and no one will deny that...If cricket is really easy nowadays then why not consider Bumrah the greatest bowler of all time, Considering bowlers don't get any help these days...Small boundaries, Thick bats, 2 new balls and all the different rules which makes it so difficult for bowlers...So, yeah no one can take Sachin's place but learn to appreciate Virat Kohli for what he has done for India.

That is such an underhanded comment. You say all that and then sneak in some rubbish as "Virat is the greatest all format batter in history and no one will deny that". This is not true. Considering the quality of opposition has significantly dropped in this era. Apart from that there are several other factors , Bowling quality, rules that favour batters , conditions and so on. Even with all that, Virat's struggles against spin is quite considerably known. Virat is nowhere near Tendulkar. In any format. Ask Virat and he will say himself. And this isn't any hate or disrespect towards Virat. He is a a legend. And regarding Bumrah , he will be considered greatest all format bowler once all is said and done because of factors in favour of batters.. But he needs to play more test matches for that. Atleast 70-75 in total.

And Virat only struggled against spin on T20 to score boundaries in test and odi he can play spin comfortably similar to Sachin.But if you take all format of the game Virat is the greatest

@@myvlogs1927 That is such a dumb take. You can't compare a format that didn't exist in Sachin's Era. If T20s were around his time, he would've mastered it as well. And it's not just hyperbolic. An IPL orange cap at age 38 shows us that. When he was already broken down. And Virat's struggles against spin is not only in recent T20s. or scoring boundaries. It is in ODIs as well against above average spinners.

The upper cut executed by Sachin was at the pace of 151 KMPH ... Shoaib was considered as one of the fierce bowler and was having unbelievable speed.. the shot was from 2003 semifinal match where Pakistan have had the best bowling attack that they ever had ... And sachin thrashed every one of them.... In this match Wasim Akram said to Abdul Razzak" do you know what have you done ? You not only dropped a catch but you have made sure that we are not going to win this match "when he dropped Sachins catch.. imagine the greatest fast swing bowler is saying this... No doubt Virat is Goat 🐐 but Sachin will always remain our god ...cheers 👍

Sorry to say but seems Prateek's cricket knowledge is limited. He was giving a lot misinformation. E.g the Kohli innings that you were talking about took place in Australia in the commonwealth bank series. And the match he said as a world cup match is actually a bilateral match between india and Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka. In world cup matches, the world cup badges can be seen on top right corner of the jersey.

Sachin's straight drives are a treat to watch. The stance and the impeccable timing! Btw, straight drives are the last thing fast bowlers want to see happening. Because that means Batsman is not only seeing the line and length clearly, but he also has the correct timing and confidence to play his shots now.

Bats men play premeditated shots , anticipated shots , mostly knowledge of the bowler , but most of the times merit of the ball, that’s when choice of shot comes into picture , choice of the shot? That’s a whole different story - that’s 60% game. It’s not just batsmen bowlers premeditate anticipate what batsmen gonna do and study the batsmen, just like batsmen have choice of the shot bowlers have choice of the ball

I think the thing that sets Sachin apart is he faced Warne, Muralitharan, Brett Lee, Glenn McGrath, Wasim Akram, Shaoib Akthar. It's not that he was just great and consistently came out on top, he did it facing those bowlers many of whom are cricketing hall of game giants

Re: premeditated shots. A batter will often have a good idea of which specific shot he wants to play to a specific delivery, depending on factors like field placings, game situation, and pitch condition. For example, a full ball just outside off stump could be driven anywhere from straight to square on the offside, but the batter might be looking to hit that in a specific direction, such as a lofted cover drive to a short boundary.

Inside out , it’s so complicated to explain and complicated shot to , here you go: bower bowls in-swinger that means ball swings into the batsmen arch, batsmen make room most of the times ( some do not ) and hits the ball against the ball trajectory, that’s outside, that’s why it’s called inside out

A point about cricket shots - “Drives” are shots where the batter puts the majority of his weight on his front foot. Cuts and pulls have the majority of the weight on the back foot.

Square cut is - the batsmen hits the ball so it goes exactly 90 degrees angle , the way you execute the shot is to cut and change the trajectory of the ball , that’s called cut shot , if it’s 90 degrees it’s called square cut

Honestly this video doesn't have Sachin's best shots at all. The upper cut taken from the famous innings against PAK. Only the on-drive and the straight six at the end do some justice. He has played much much better cut shots, straight drives (look for the ones where he just punches, not the hard hitting ones) and inside out shots.

That wasn't a good example of a square cut by Kohli. This shot was played from the front foot with an almost vertical bat. It's more of a square drive than a square cut, which is played from the back foot with a more angled bat.

Strait drive is similar to square drive in terms of terminology , Totally different shots , square drive is 90 degrees , strait drive is 0 degrees, just like saying to the ball go back to where you came from , even further till the boudary

That’s not called delicate late cut - there is no cricketing term like, as I explained earlier it’s a cut shot , called backward cut , but very late almost close to the stumps so keeper and slip fielder cannot chase it

The other and proper name of pull shot is hook shot , I guess you understand hook shot better ( NBA ). The name comes combination of bowler pulls his length and bats men hooks it and send it to the stands , if batsmen misses then you know what happens - ball goes on hits the helmet

Technically , Sachin is always the best while Virat is the goat run machine of white ball cricket ....Sachin played far superior fast bowlers that too in bowling friendly tracks while Virat played in more batting friendly flat pittches where rules are also more inclined towards batsmen ....So , Sachin the best no comparison

Umm, I would have preferred someone explaining the shots with a little more clarity to you both in the video. The video have a few misleading info. The straight drive by Sachin is actually an off drive. Stright drive then the ball should go somewhere close to touching distance of the bowler and/or Umpire. Even the Kohlis pull shot is not a proper text book pull. Its closer to a slog sweep from standing position. Sachins on drive is not on drive as well, thats flick shot.

Not even lol. Just because he has respect for legendary player does not make him a fan boy! I would argue he knows a lot, but it is different talking about cricket amongst your friends just randomly and then trying to explain things to people who are new like us while also having a camera in front of you. Just give it time! It's only his 3rd video. Our early videos were really a tough watch.

Listen up, dude, if you are gonna ask a 90s kid who's the best batman Michael Keaton or Christain Bale, he/she would say it's michael keaton ! Same is the case with Virat and Sachin. Stats vise and match winning knocks vise Virat has been the superior player than sachin but 90s kid will always say Sachin is the superior!

For e.g. Due to arrival of T20I, SENA started focusing on making different squad for different formats.. WI players stopped caring about international and more on T20I... But India till now, always tries to make the players an all format player.. Recent example: SKY, Rishabh Pant.. Compare no. of matches of Virat & Rohit to other players.. You will see vast gap in terms of matches... The problem with you guys are.. You just see the stats and declare like "WOW, he's the GOAT, no one comes close to him".. Rather than trying to understand why is there such a disparity in terms of matches etc.

This is what its actually like . Sachin is not better than virat Kohli either it be stats or fans or skills . He has broken all Sachin’s records . The only reason who people bring this argument is because sachin is like old legend of cricket and to put some respect we say sachin is better. But cmon virat is always 100 times better player than sachin and everyone knows it .
