I've been taking the hats apart and of course ruined the hats. So thanks. It works for making leather hats too.

do we have to always steam the hats no matter the fabric being used?.. Just wondering...

Steaming is just for final shaping of the hat, so it is not required :)

I was trying to tape the edge as accurately as possible with the thinner tape before filling the entire brim with the wider tape! ☺️

@@SachisStudio Sorry, I meant the concentric circles of stitching. Do they help create stiffness or are they just cosmetic?

@@nowthenad3286 yes, they do create stiffness and nice shaping to the brim, and also keep the fabric and interfacing from separating over time ! :)
